Going BACK to Blu! Ego-v fail!

After 2 weeks of using my Blu kit and not smoking a single analog I bought an ego-v mega and a saturn venus atomizer. I was really excited to start using the new setup, until now. The very first drag was REALLY good, it all went downhill after that. No matter what I do I am getting very little vapor and I keep getting a bitter/burnt taste. I have tried 3 different flavors of juice and have tried changing the wick/coil out just to see if it made any difference, but it didn't, all three flavors taste the same too

I have refilled my blu carts with these same 3 flavors and it's a GREAT vape in comparison. This is day 2 with the ego and I'm about ready to toss it in the garbage. It's just that awful of an experience.

Oh and by the way I have only tried 3.5-4.0 volts on the ego.

Your problem has nothing to do with the ego battery and everything to do with the saturn venus atomizer/vision eternity rebuildable tank atomizer. (both the same thing)

IMO it's a undesirable knock off of a ego tank system with a sorry excuse for a drip atty built in that can be difficult for a new user to make function properly without a bunch of fiddling with it.
Get any BCC and give that a try. (EVOD, T3, TabacBCC, VapeonlyBCC, Protank)

Since you seem to like the cartomizers from the blue kit you might want to get a carto tank to use on your ego v. The battery is just a power source its the delivery deice where all the magic happens. Something like this for a cheap starter tank. Boge F17 Cartomizer Tank (clear)

All of the above. That tank system is too flaky for a new user. It sounds like you are not getting enough liquid to the coil, which can happen very easily with that one. In addition to the other advice you've received, I would suggest some plain old Boge cartomizers to get you started. 2.0ohm will work well on your eGo-V, and as long as you saturate them, they're going to be consistent.

Thank you guys, I really appreciate the quick help! I got desperate so I made the 2 hour trip to my "local" vape shop. They had some smoketech 3.5ml dual coil tanks so I picked one up along with an extra cartomizer. I am gone out on the road for extended periods so if I was to order something it would be a while until I got to come home and play with it. So far I am really enjoying it!

The Smoketech DCTs are really good, although I prefer to stick single coils in them. It sounds like you already got your first one set up, but the most important thing to remember with those is to fully saturate the cartomizer before firing it up. A dry carto will not wick eliquid fast enough from the tank and saturating it is the only way to avoid the dreaded lingering burnt taste or possibly a fried carto.
