VapeDojo was a great little shop and some really good juice. Had samples ready to go on the counter and found a few that I really liked. Also picked up the joyetech VV knockoff (smoktech winder), evod, 5 heads, and a usb charger for $36. I know the batt won't last as long but it was a super cheap way in to a whole new experience. VV is great. I like mixing my strength from 18-12-6 as the day progresses. Being able to dial in the vape is great.

I recommend anyone local to stop by and try their juice. Very helpful and relaxed staff.

I loved to smoke, same usage as the writer. Tried convienience stores, nope. Tried BLU, tasted good, expensive, charger failed within days. Great return policy. Went with V2, great product, expensive, my man is using the product(mine) now. If you want cigarette type, use myvaporstore, it's VERY reasonable. Finally I went for broke & got a Vision spinner kit from MVS. Great price, great product, LOTS of available hardware. Once I got away from the cigarette , I found I really like flavors and I custom blend mine at ECBlend. The cigarette types last maybe 3 hours, even the longer ones, but a great starter kit. My man still prefers this, but he carries 3 batteries, many carts(which can be refilled) and has to charge regularly. I use the spinner/twist charge overnight use all day and swap it out in the evening. I do refill with inexpensive custom made juices (made in USA, no dangerous juices) and can choose a huge variety of tanks or drip tips to use. My battery is a big one 1100, but they sell shorties too. Hope this helps. The Blu is all about hype & social networking. I just want a convienient, quality vape, Hope this helps.:)

About 3 years ago a friend switched to Blu and would let me try it out from time to time. I hated it and it totally put me off to eCigs because I kept getting the sting of liquid nicotine on my mouth and tongue. It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I started researching ecigs, and decided to give them another try. this site was very helpful: http://www.electroniccigaretteconsumerreviews.com

after reading the reviews i decided to go with the Apollo standard kit; though i'm also interested in giving Green Smoke a try in the near future since i've heard great things about that brand.

If you live in Maryland...before you spend a dime, PLEASE go see the guys at the Vape Dojo in Ellicot City. I don't know where you live in the state, but it is about an hour drive for me and it is where I get most of my gear. They have amazing prices a very helpful yet non-pushy staff and a plethora of in-house mixed juices that have always been great for me. They will be more than happy to let you try the products and set you off in the right direction. They just got in KangerTech EVOD kits for a great price. That kit plus some juice will give you everything you need to start vaping for about $55. Check them out! You won't be disappointed.

I'm thrilled with vape dojo. Their prices are really good for a brick and mortar. It's where I got my first vv/evod setup and it was more than priced fair. Their juices are great too. The only gear they carry is what they believe provides a good experience for all levels. Not a bunch of marked up gimmicky stuff that you see in other shops. You can tell the owner is passionate for the hobby and also fair and reasonable. I have a hard time not stopping in if I'm within 10 miles of the place.

Hi! I started w/ Blu Cigs about 3 months ago and it was a very crucial step in quitting analogs. The thing about Blu that made it work for me was the simple fact that it was shaped like a cigarette, and it delivered a nice hit. The downside to Blu is that it dies fast, but you do get a portable charger that is shaped like a cigarette box, and a lot of the cartridges are hit and miss. What i mean is that the taste varied from cartridge to cartridge and they didn't last very long.

Blu cigs will always have a special place in my heart because it got me off analogs. I don't regret buying Blu because at that point i wasn't sure how big e cigs were and i wanted to be inconspicuous with my e cig usage, but if i could go back i would probably save that $60 for the starter kit and whatever else i spent on cartridges and go with an ego starter kit. It's leaps and bounds better than a Blu and i guarantee that even if you get a Blu you will probably get an ego kit sometime after anyway. Better battery life, better hit, better flavors..

If you do decide to go with Blu I'd suggest buying the kit from Walgreens for $60 and ordering the premium 100 carts online. Blu refills are interchangeable. Premium 100 carts are suggested for the premium kit but it's not exclusive. It will also work with the regular starter kit.

Cigalikes work about 2% of the time (Not a scientific poll. Based on observation from last 2,000 noobs using cigalikes). If you really want to quit, forget about the comfort and coolness of a Stephen Dorff man crush (I have one, I think). Get the strongest batteries and the strongest juice you can to power through the cravings. That's your best chance to quit, imho. I started vaping in 2009 and failed with cigalikes. Tried again in 2011 and failed with 650 mAh batts and cartridge atomizer setup. Finally quit my 3 PAD, 35 year habit in 2013 with Spinners, 36 mg/ml juice, and some crappy CE clearos. 5 months later, I use mods, tanks, Kanger clearos and the occasional RBA's. It takes what it takes, and whatever works for you, is the best gear you can start with. That being said, if you do like vaping, even if you do quit, you'll likely upgrade to one of the recommended stick battery starter kits mentioned, and the Blu will be black holed. Good luck and Vape On!

Welcome to ECF. I probably live up the street and around the corner from you (in Lanham)...lol. May I suggest that you take a little time and visit some of the brick and mortar shops in the state before you make for first purchase? B-More Vapes is in the Pataspco Flea market and open on the weekends (roughly 30-40 mins up the B/W parkway depending on traffic). Vape Dojo is a little further away, but not too far and open 7 days a week (I think). The Vaper's Knoll is in Pasadena (about 45 minutes from Greenbelt) and also open 7 days a week ( I think). I know there are several other shops in MD, but these are the closest to your location. I say pick a day, go to one of these shops and get a feel for what you may want. I know B-more Vapes carries 510, cig-a-like styles (I bought the Kanger esmart from them). I've bee vaping for about 7 months and I went from a PAD smoker to an ego battery with a Kanger clearomizer (T3 at the time). Tried a friend of mines blu, but I didn't want to shell out $70-80 bucks for a kit and cartos that I knew I wouldn't want to keep using. But ultimately, the choice is yours and whatever choice you make, is waayyy better than cigs any day.
