New Android Ejuice Calculator App

A little while ago, I was looking for an Android app for my ejuice mixing. I found a couple of apps, but nothing that would do quite what I wanted, so I decided to start working on my own since I wanted to learn Android programming anyway.

So far I've created a basic app that lets me input my base nicotine mix, target values and flavour concentrate percentages, and gives me the recipe I need in millilitres to make up the mix. I'm pretty happy with the results. My next step is to add the ability to save and load recipes so I can easily retrieve them later.

I was wondering, though, is there any interest in developing this app further for other people to use? As in, would other people like to use this? If so, what features would you like to see in it? How would you like it to work, and what could I do to make it better/more useful?

I've attached a couple of screenshots of how it is now. Please take a look and let me know what you think and if there's any interest I might take it further. Any thoughts and feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Gobb

I love you apps when they do something with the others don't. Yours looks basicallY like what I alreadY have. Like this done speak and type thing I'm pLaying with where else can I get random capitalization?

I agree, it is pretty basic so far. I'm completely open to ideas and suggestions for improvements. What would you like to see in an app?

A couple of things I've tried to do that the other apps I found did not do (or didn't do well):

- Prevent negative values (eg. don't give you recipes that tell you to add -2.5ml PG)
- Save and load your preferred default values for base and target pg/vg/nicotine etc. separately from the flavor percentages

What I'm thinking could happen for future versions:

- Add a bunch of pre-configured flavours (flavors, sorry, I'm an Aussie forgive me! the app has US and UK English) so you can select from a list
- Add a bunch of pre-configured recipes that you can choose from
- Create your own recipes, and maybe share them with the community - maybe with some sort of rating system

Shrug, I really don't know. Anything's possible. What do you want to see? I'm feeling in the mood for a challenge so bring it on and we'll see what happens.
