I agree with Randy.

What exactly does this mean?
"So what have we learned here?" says Dan Henry. "Not only was the device not an electronic cigarette, but we are now receiving information that it was a triple stack battery mod! ...

Triple stack??? I've never heard of this. Has anyone ever routinely stacked three batteries in a PV? Why would they? Who is vaping at 12V?

Also:
"First of all, the major electronic cigarette companies like V2 and Green Smoke, do not make electronic cigars. Most electronic cigars are made by foreign companies or diverse manufacturers that are not recognized in the electronic cigarette industry," says Dan Henry.

This implies that "major" electronic cigarette companies', like V2 and Green Smoke :)rolleyes:), products aren't made by foreign companies (read 'manufacturers'). I may be completely wrong (ask my wife, according to her I usually am ;)), but are there any 'cigarette-style' PVs manufactured in the US?

V2 and Green Smoke are two of the, at least IMO, overpriced e-cigs that a lot of people try and then abandon.

/end of minor rant :D

There are companies manufacturing e-liquid (Johnson Smoke Juice and Vermont Vapors are two that I know of). As far as the hardware goes, I suspect that some companies may be assembling the parts here and calling that manufacturing.

So far, I have not heard of any atomizers being made in the USA. Please correct me if I am wrong about this.

This was just them plugging to make themselves the standard when the time comes for stringent regulation. It is sad that it will lead to this - Education right now is the key... Education, Education, Education...

There is one atomizer made in the U.S. I just cannot remember the name right now - it is one of the high end ones...

Don't know if any attys are being manufactured in the USA
However, based on what I know...
We can manufacture steel here in the USA and ship it on a slow boat to China..
They will take the raw materials and manufacture electronics and crate them up
and ship the products back here. Those products will be off-loaded on to trucks
and driven half way across the country to suppliers...Cheaper than we can manufacture
the same products...down the street.

Its The AVA Atomizer manufactured by Apex right here in the USA... Can be bought at Innovapor.com or Thermovape.com(Apexs own website) I have a few of them and really they are not all that they are cracked up to be.. My first one lasted for 3 weeks, they did replace it........But @ $40 a piece?????? Why bother, they also run at a higher resistance than the Joye 510s do in the same configuration, LR and the SR versions, so vapor prodution isnt as good... I will say once you break them in(Takes a good couple of days of heavy vaping) they do burn clean............... If you want to try one, go ahead, but dont expect any micircles.... I will sick with the Joyes for now, mabey I will try a HH .357? I wonder if they are all hype also????

I've seen what China is capable of .. there are literally square miles of factories in provinces that are designed to manufacture about anything you can come up with .. I was told that as an example, one could provide a prototype or even an actual product and within 3-4 months as many as you wanted would be delivered by container ship ready to be trucked anywhere in the USA ..

I gather all those factories are "Non-Union"

That is some horrible journalism. Maybe the companies are buying an add in the SF paper this week?
It's not journalism ... Its a "Commercial" back-door Add
for Puffweb.com and even the Ruling on FDA regulation link
(last line) will take you to a Puffweb page.

The Internet is "packed" with what appears at first glance,
to be articles ... but are actually just commercials for
e-cig websites.
