hello all, I recently quit smoking 5 months ago. I started using blu ecig and loved it but after spending 15 bucks a week it started getting expensive. My local smoke shop recommended vaping and i loved it even more. Now what would be a good setup for me to buy to have a decent battery and clearomizer. I have been reading this forum for a couple days now and provari seems like a popular choice. right now im using a spider battery which looks cheap and i want a more sturdy and elegant look.

I would recommend an ego-c twist battery with a couple of vivi nova clearo/cartomizers, they are low maintenance and hold between 2-3.5 ml depending if you get the mini or normal size. As for the battery, it allows you to switch voltages and doesn't cost a fraction of the provari, plus the provari is a big goofy looking unit that is awkward to use in public.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Big and goofy? How can you say that? Have you seen one compared to an eGo-C twist?

I had eGo-C twist stuff, I spent more on it than the Provari. I have given all of the eGo stuff away. My Provari with 18650 and tank is actually slightly shorter than the 1000 mah ego twist and tiny tank I was using before making the change. I really wish I would have jumped to the Provari before getting the eGo stuff. I would have saved money.

It is not near as big as people seem to think it is is certainly not goofy looking. A Provari is not that big and if one were to go Mini it will be fairly compact.

I love my Twists and my ProThingy. Size isn't everything... The most bang for your buck when you first start out is a Twist or Spinner. They are both solid mid-level devices that will leave enough in your budget to be able to try different juice delivery systems - cartos, clearos, tanks, etc., plus juice flavors.

Even with a ProVari or Vamo you have to have back-up, and I don't mean just extra batteries. God forbid you drop it or leave it somewhere, what are you going to vape with in the meantime?

I like this kit because it's a mid-size introduction to variable voltage and it's fully customizable. If you don't mind going a bit bigger than your Blu cigalike:

If you like mini batteries, Smokeless Image kit is similar to your Blu and a much better value. You can get blank cartos and juice to fill them with, you can get clearomizers instead of cartos, and you have an option to upgrade to their own fat vv battery, the Volt Spinner.

Good luck and welcome!
