Hey guys I just got into vaping today I got myself a

Itastez VV 3.0
Kanger Protank Mini 3
GoldSeal Grape e-juice 18mg nicotine.

How'd id do for my first setup?
What wattage should it be at the girl at VapBox (Montreal) told me to put it at 7.5Watts?
Also how long did it take for you guys togo from 18mg liquid to 0 mg liquid?

Thanks, a former pack a day smoker

Hi and Welcome to ECF :)

Congrats on getting started! You got a great starter set up :) As far as where to set your watts- tends to be personal preference to some extent dependent on your tank and juice flavor. Start at the lowest setting and go up 0.5 at a time vape on each setting, if you get to a point where it tastes burnt back it down a notch or two. You have to find the spot that gives you the flavor and performance you enjoy!

Ive spent the last year going from 24 down to zero. I still occasionally use some nic tho. That is also very individual. Some people stay at higher levels for as long as they wish and some are able to go to zero right off the bat and just replace the oral fixation. You just need to do whatever it is that works for you :)

Thanks, I already feel like I can breathe better.

I have it set at 7.5watts, its the best feeling for me now between the harshness (which I like) and amount of smoke produced.

Now when should I change the atomizer cartridge, the saleswomen told me after I finished the 30ml I should replace it?

You change it when it starts tasting bad

Hi, and welcome to ECF. Nice starter kit, might want to get an extra emergency battery and 1 more tank for a spare. I have back ups for back ups just so there's no chance I have to go back to tobacco. I am a 44 year pack a day (sometimes more) smoker and I like my nicotine so I and others aren't looking to really quit, some people are. Thats the great thing about Vapeing each person can taylor the use of nicotine to their own needs and preferances. No one here will judge their fellow Vapers on success or failure because there is no such thing with Vapeing. I consider anyone who Vapes a Winner already! Glad to have you with us, look around and read, read, read. Feel free to ask any questions that come to mind as someone here will either have or find an answer . Most of all enjoy the Vapeing journey! :)

Hi, joe, welcome to ECF!

Great job picking out your "starter kit". You obviously did your homework!

The progression down in nic levels is different for everyone. It will take a bit of experimentation. Get some lower-nic juice and alternate; if you find cravings coming back stick with the higher-octane for a while longer. Or pick up a bottle of VG or PG and add a bit each time you fill your head (this will also dilute the flavors a bit, but saves you from having all different levels of nic juice around).

Just make sure you don't push it so fast that it becomes unsatisfying and you go back to smoking.

Welcome aboard

Change the coil (atomizer head) when the flavor and/or amount of vapor changes. The amount of time before a change is required will be dependent on several factors.
The amount of actual vape time. Chain vaping - 1-3 days, light vaping 1-2 weeks
The juice used. Sweet, dark, high VG juices tend to gum up coils more quickly

You really started with a great setup. Seams rare, I certainly did not but got a spinner and a Protank 3 pretty quickly. Sooooooo what are you going to get next? and then? and after....................................

What everybody else said about the coils. I go through them faster than most it seams, wish I could break the habit of trying to stretch the time out on them. every time I finally change the hit is SO MUCH BETTER that I ask myself why I waited. We all know it is because I am a cheap S.O.B.

Good luck, from also a former PAD guy.

We should start a club!

Wait. . . There's probably already a club for that. . .
