Wow, Mountain Electronics is located right here in Washington state. That's cool, except for the sales tax thing. Wonder if they have a brick&mortar store here.

Bummer, Washington state politicians are horrendous with their taxation. It was appalling what they were trying to do with sin taxes and e-cigs earlier this year. Good grief.

As far as building a complete custom light (in a convoy XX host), the owner charges something south of a mere $5 to put an entire light together for you with the first class components you select via his site. Amazingly vast selection, and it's really hard to surpass $40 for a custom light that blows away the specs of the "premium" shelf brands. What a fantastic company...

However, after having said all that, my absolute favorite lights that I own currently are two Eagletacs; a D25LC2 Color, and a G25C2 mkII NW "kit version." I EDC the D25, and jacket carry the G25 when I go for walks. They aren't the cheapest lights, but I have found the price of an Eagletac is well justified because their user interface is hands down the most useful and best. You just twist the head for brightness modes, and you twist the head back and forth to access a plethora of hidden blinky modes (or in the case of the D25, LED color selection). You can pre-select the brightness before even turning the light on, and all of it is with momentary on inclusion. It may not seem like a huge deal, but in use, the user interface actually is a huge difference maker. The Eagletac user interface is so vast and intuitive, you almost feel like "Neo" from the "Matrix" films controlling them.

The Thrunite TN12 is the best value "premium" shelf brand light out there currently from what I can tell. I've looked at countless beam shots of it, and it seems to be a real nice balance between throw and flood. It has extremely well spaced modes that are lacking in other shelf brand lights, just a tad bigger than a true EDC light, and it's price is a dream compared to other "premium" shelf brand lights in the same arena.

Cheers

Yeah but for what its worth and for whatever reason, they did the right thing in the end in regards to e-cigs. Not saying it'll last.
As to other sin taxes--no question about it. Every time there's a budget need, the automatic response seems to be jacking up cigarette tax another buck. They allowed "privatized" liquor sales but taxed it so heavily that it costs us more than before. Of course, we have a new sin tax for that substance which must remain anonymous on this site--25% taxed equally from producing, processing and selling = 75% total. Can you imagine the impact on this state if we all became substance-free?

Well this one was easy. Having tried a lot of others still trust the AW reliability and reputation enough to not wait for a review before buying. They have proven this over and over again to me since 2010. Enjoy the day![emoji6]

I agree. I have 2 previous orders of of 4 AW IMR batteries each--now 3 and 4 years-old respectively. Any two of them still get me through a logger's day (18 hours from wake-up till bedtime). Now admittedly I'm not a heavy vaper--probably average 4 ml per day. Still, I love the way they just keep on keeping on.

Yeah Russ these are very nice. I took all the "green" batts out of my REO Grands and put the new 2200's in them. I like the button tops better in the REOs because the fire button travel is much less. I'll use the green ones in my Woodys.

If these new batts perform as well as the 1600's it would be a "battery game changer" for me!!

Mine are charged and one was just slapped in a grand. 4.19v at 5:30 pm. I'll post back with readings till it gets to around 3.8

It is on a dual coil setup I just built with 29 that's netting .7 - yes I added 2 wraps to each coil :)

I just put the first one in a Grand. .45 ohm duals. I put 4 ml in the bottle. With the 1600s, I go through about 4ml, and the battery will be at around 3.6 to 3.65 volts. I'll see how this 2200 meters after 4ml.
