"Stupid human test" completed last night at midnight.

The 2200 lasted all day. When the bottle was finally empty the batt read 3.66. I don't normally let my batts go below 3.7, but "in the interest of science", I wanted to see if it could finish the bottle.

6ml of juice in a single coil build is a LOT of puffs. I'm usually a 65% dual/35% single coil kind a guy.

Realize I have not seen any real data on these batts this was just my "stupid human test".

Soooooo....yesterday I was pretty impressed with the 2200's performance with the dual .5 ohm Odin. (post a couple pages back)

Today's "stupid human test" will be a REO Grand with a full bottle of NT Virus, a Cyclone with a single 1 ohm coil and a new 2200 with a starting 4.2 charge.

I do like the shorter fire button travel of the button tops as compared to the flat tops. I had been using VTC5's only because they would last me all day. Now I think the VTC's will be delegated to the Woodvil's, Hana and VS rDNA!!

"Stupid human test" update:

1/3 bottle vaped (approx 2 ml) / batt reading 3.92.

"Stupid human test" update #2:

2/3 bottle vaped (approx 4ml) / batt reading 3.78.

@bushmaster, if it helps any I recently ordered a pair button top Samsung 25R's to try them out, and can wholeheartedly recommend them. They fit perfectly fine in the Grand, have no sag/voltage drop, and burn super long from 4.2V - 3.7V. They handle my .3Ω - .6Ω builds like a champ, staying cool to the touch. I liked them enough to go ahead and commit to ordering another half dozen. These little sky-blue batteries are what will be powering my Grands for the next year. (replacing aging AW 1600 and Sony VTC)

Cheers

I have 2 of these from Lightning Vapes at $8 per. I ordered the flat tops by mistake but they fit fine in the Reo Grand LP and the fire button throw is fine with me. From all the reviews this is a great battery, 2500 mah and 20amp limit. All I can compare them to are the AW IMR 1600mah and will comparet them over the weekend.

The New AW sure looks good though...

got 2 of these batteries today. charged up and been vaping steady all afternoon. i'll start paying attention to battery life and ml's used starting tomorrow.
for now the batteries seem very consistent from right off the charger to after a few hours of use.

so many batteries are like on fire fully charged and then settle in.

I'm expecting these to work out just fine

Well they've been out for a while does anyone know if they have been rated yet? Just wondered if the Flashlight guys have put these to the test. I'm looking to replace some of my year old A Dubs and can't see using anything less than 24 amps just to be as safe as possible.

ETA Looks like they are only rated for 20 amps

I haven't seen any published curves for the 2200s yet. But my personal results convinced me to order 3 more. I've been using the first ones I ordered for the past week, and I'm pleased with them. Yes, if the ratings are true, it seems as though they sacrificed a bit on continuous discharge rate, for an increase in mAh. With my usual .45 to .5 ohm builds, 20A, with a increase in duration is sufficient for me.

I actually hate this thread.

It's making me want to buy batteries I don't really need... or maybe I should just buy another Grand so I need more batteries... ;)

Or... like I just did...

Buy more batteries, so now I need another Grand :)

Picked out a VP4 charger too... needed a backup charger ;)

I was gonna just get the $7 charger...but I think Im gonna get my mom a grand for her birthday, so now we'll be set! Plus I wanted free shipping. I had to pay sales tax, so if you're not from PA, feel grateful... Its 6%...

Here is a link to a German battery comparison database (incl. AW 2200).
Select up to 6 battery types for comparison at 2A,3A or 5A ampere.
AkkuDB

The following link shows AW2000, AW2200, Samsung25R, Sony VTC4 and VTC5
AkkuDB

am i mis-interpreting these charts?

seems like the AW2200 is the worst performer-- even lower than the AW2000, which is generally regarded worse than the AW1600 for mech mods staying above 3.7V.

The dampfakkus.de site is well respected among german vapers and I use it sometimes for reference. (dampfakkus = vaper's rechargable batteries)

Unfortunately, they don't show data for the AW1600, because it is practically non-existent in Germany.
The AW2000 has a lower max drainage than AW1600, but, to my knowledge, is superior in aspects shown here.

My knowledge about batteries is more than restricted, but I assume, the shown amperage has some effect.
With higher amperes (see 5A), the AW2200 starts to develop its strength.
With our coils turning subohm, we drain the batteries with up to 20A.
And it seems, this is, where the AW2200 begins to shine.
