I pre-ordered a brass and plain (does that mean shiny or matte or what?), and an ihtaka from COV.

The next day I got an email that said it shipped, along with shipping #. I tracked it and it says it will be here MONDAY...

And my card was charged right away.

So, does that mean the GGs and the ihtaka will be here Monday??

i don't have the slightest idea what I'm going to do with the ihtaka - I didn't order any supplies.

I've been building fairly decent and effective singles & doubles on this k100, that's about it.

I also emailed COV & asked someone to call me back to sell me some supplies and/or find out what is actually shipping but I didn't hear from anyone. Maybe they have like a thousand people to call back...

I'm not sure what your question is. The vendor emailed you to tell you that it was shipped, you tracked it with the shipping company and it says it is scheduled for Monday delivery... and you want to know if it will be here Monday?

It was suppose to be a pre-order, shipping at the end of the month. But you're right, my question wasn't very clear.

So here's the questions:

1. What is the finish of the non-brass model.
2. Are JGG already shipping to the general public?
3. What items would I need to use the ihtaka? I have wire, juice, silica & enough knowledge to get me in trouble.

I was confused since it was suppose to be a pre-order. And, according to what I perceive in the JGG thread, the general public doesn't have a one yet - but tons of people have pre-ordered it.

2. No its on pre order. It will ship at the end of august.
3. you need non resistance wire and kanthal wire if you haven't already gotten it. when you get the ithaka it is going to come with a small nut. take the nut inside the ceramic housing and replace it with the small nut. that will save you from the gurgling problem. then watch youtube videos to learn how to make coils and not blow yourself up!

I guess the "it has shipped" email from COV is an auto-generated thing, or maybe it's just the ihtaka that shipped.

Whatever...it's all good. Me and my Apple TV and you tube are presently in rewind/play mode...I wish I spoke Greek . And, I can see the mail box from here.
