Not with your Ithaka. You need to join your resistance wire to Non-resistance wire. Check out igetcha69 Ithaka review to see how he joins with a Zapper (my preferred method) or Bishopheals single coil build on YT to get an idea of how to "manually" join your wires. This is the, "working the kinks out" that I mentioned in my previous post

FYI clouds of vapor has penelope ceramic cups available.

The Golden Greek does make good products and is very inventive. "BUT" the biggest problem with the guy is that he gets bored very, very easily, and when he is done with a project, he is done with it. He is not even interested in maintaining his projects, so if you break a ceramic cup . . . . oh well! The Penelope was one of his most popular atty's, but he didn't care if more people wanted them, after a thousand made, he was DONE with it. People are on a waiting list at COV for them, but they arn't going to get one, because he doesn't care.

Thank God for clones! After on that waiting list for months, I ran across the Penelope clone "Euphoria" at stormy's vapor cellar. It's my favorite atty of all time. It is very solid and well made.

You know, if I ever want the NEW Ithaka, I think I'll but the CLONE. At least I know that they won't ditch me!
