Hello all,
I am new to the vaping scene but so far I'm getting into it. I've been a smoker for 17yrs and have tried countless times to quit with not so hot results (I get the worst withdrawal symptoms imaginable!) but I bit the bullet and decided that vaping would be a great way for me to at least cut the majority of the "bad stuff" in cigarettes and eventually allow me to get off nicotine all together. I started out buying a disposable e-cig to make sure it was right for me and I liked it. I was able to cut my cigarette consumption down by 75% for the day and decided to order a full kit. I took 3 weeks researching and trying to determine which one to get (too many on the market and no way to really tell the difference between a lot of them). I decided on this little American company named " Don't touch my ...." who make the Black Cherry M602. I spoke with the owner prior to purchase to ask all kinds of questions not only about their product but e-cigs in general. He actually talked to me for about 45 minutes explaining everything and later I ordered the kit. it arrived 2 days later and Excited, I unpacked it and tried it out. The unit was great and the PCC was cool but the vapor was so harsh, I would cough instantly upon trying to inhale and I would get a burning sensation in my throat and chest which would last for about 10 minutes with only 1 attempted puff. I asked the owner if I was doing something wrong because it was nothing like the disposable one I had before. He was so kind and said he'd ship out a couple of their other strength/flavored carti's at no charge and to let him know which one I liked and he would exchange the unopened carti's I bought at no charge. They impressed me but I'm still trying to figure out why the cartamizer was so harsh and hurt to try and vape with? it was only 18mg strength and a pg based juice in it. Any insight? Any recommendations for ejuice or cartamizers (carti's that fit a kr808d-1 will work with this unit). I love the unit and the PCC and should recieve the new carti's tomorrow but I thought I would check with you guys to get any suggestions. I smoke parliament light 100's now just to give you a baseline of my nic levels and smoke about 1-1.5 packs a day. Thanks in advance and the new carti's the owner sent just might do the trick but I want to learn about all the options available for smooth, thick vapor producing carti's and ejuices.:)

PG is what gives juice its throat hit. It can be harsh, and I don't know many people who vape 100%PG. That could be the problem. You'll want to ask to speak with the owner again and find out how much PG is in the juice. If it's high in PG, you might want to consider getting a PG/VG mix. VG isn't as harsh, adds a bit of sweetness to the juice, and produces tons of vapor.

Welcome to ECF! Ask lots of questions and make sure to do lots of reading. The ECF Library is a great place to start, and you won't want to miss Videos For Newbies (Particularly Broke Newbies) .

I agree--probably the level of PG. Since it fits the kr8 cartos, try buying some blank cartos (vapor4life, litecigusa.net, or any other reputable vendor) and some juice--there are tons of vendors who will let you customize your mix and flavors. I've tried vapor bomb and viking vapor and they both do flavor and VG/PG customizations. They both offer trial sizes (5 ml for vapor bomb & 7.5 ml for viking vapor) at really reasonable prices. But again, those are the only 2 I've ordered from so far. I ordered so much from them in trial sizes that I'm totally stocked for the next several months! And don't limit yourself to trying to match an analog (cigarette) flavor. I hate the tobacco flavors and most menthol flavors. Try fruity or chocolately or novelty (bubble gum/soda/etc) flavors.

And have fun!

Hi and welcome to ECF. The juice that's in prefilled cartridges and cartomizers is notoriously bad. One company that has some good ones in many flavors for the KR808 is Vapor 4 Life. Their carto's can be found at this url http://The_NEW_WOW_Vapor_Cartomizers_s. I can't personally attest to their products, but many people have reviewed them here on ECF and say they're about the best prefilled you can get. The PG/VG ratio does have an impact too. I vape 100% PG because I like all the throat hit I can get, it reminds me more of an analog. Most people choose a ration of 80/20 or 70/30 pg/vg, but you can buy juices in pretty much any ratio you want. I'd try VaporBomb because you can select from many combinations of strength, flavor and mix ratios, sweetened, or unsweetened. And they do small 5 ml samples so you can try out a bunch of flavors pretty cheap.
