Version 7.0.0.4 is available. Changes include:

1. Added an option "Tools->Import from text file" geared to import recipes from another web based calculator. Before using see the option "Tools->Import from text file->Read this first".

2. The mouse wheel, regardless of the settings, was allowing the recipe category to scroll. Fixed.

3. The mouse wheel, regardless of the settings, was allowing the ingredient name, manufacturer and folder name to scroll. Fixed.

4. Added the ability to lock down the ingredients in a recipe to prevent accidental changes. This can be set in the "Tools->Options", Recipe defaults and checking the "Lock ingredients to prevent accidental changes". When set, click the lock/unlock icon to change the locking state.

About the latest version: love the import feature. Maybe an idea to further improve this:
Besides the option of a textfile, give the option of a popup box (similar to the Notes box) where we can paste the simple text recipe. Saves me (and maybe others as well) the extra step of copy/paste in a text file, saving it and then importing it.

Speaking of the Notes field, could you add an option so that the url that is in the simple text recipe (after the name of the recipe) is put in the notes field?

Now why didn't I think of that, pop up box. Great idea, will be included in the next version.

Yes, I will save the url.

Super neat program update! But I must have done something wrong as I cannot Save Default Options - says default directory not found...

It still saves recipes though.

I installed it as Portable after letting it update the program and I discovered that it would not save the options.

Hope you can help me fix it. Please?

Thanks in advance.

I might know what is going on. Are you getting a message "Default directory does not exist"? In the options there is a "General" tab and the first field on that tab is a "Default directory". This directory is not that important however it must be set to a directory that exists on your system. Make sure it points to a valid directory. This is where your juice file will be saved to however when you are saving your juice file you can select other than the default directory.

I can't begin to count the ways this calculator has helped my juice mixing. The only thing that it doesn't keep track of for me is where the flavor I want is. I now spend 3 times as much time looking for the flavors I need than actually mixing. This was frustrating and I finally had enough. I bought a wooden box and made dividers. It has a matrix of 8x12. For a total of 96 flavors. I currently have about 140 flavors so I need to make another one. I printed a list of the flavors with location from A1 to H12 and fastened it to the lid. That made it easy to find the flavors by scanning through for each one called for. Then I realized that the location should be in the recipe. There was no spot for it so I manually added it to the flavor names. Importing recipes is going to create more work now to find and replace the duplicate flavors. What I would love to see is a location field next to the ingredient field and stored in the ingredient part of the database.
