Try this; launch the program and don't maximize. Size the window and drag it to a location on your display so that the entire window shows. Now close the application. When you re-launch the program it should remember the last size and location of the window. See if that resolves the issue you are having.

I'll give that a try. Thanks.

I was wondering if there is a reason last made on date don't auto update say when you use the minus ingredients button? My thought is when i subtract ingredients from my inventory due to being made that would be my last used date. I am new to the program but love this hands down and will not use any other program after finding this one. Great work!!!

I will have to give this some thought. When you have to prompt for several items it slows down the import process. If too many windows are being opened it defeats the advantages of importing, it could be quicker to manually enter the recipe.

True, but having to change the ingredients post import also defeats the purpose ;)
And you don't need multiple windows, just one extra window should be enough, an example:

But I realise this would be a big change.

I believe there is already a solution to this. Go into "Tools->Options", the "Recipe defaults" tab and provide a default value for "Target Nicotine mg", "PG Percentage" and "VG Percentage". When importing it will use these values.
These default values are all filled out, but this doesn't pick a default Nicotine ingredient:

Printing over 1000 pages for small recipe? Yikes! Upgraded to latest portable version, entered a new recipe to try - went to print it out and whether I preview it or attempt to print it just adds more and more pages!

Also in print preview it looks like the page definition is for a print label - no way to set the options for a regular page?

Hope someone can help my befuddled mind on this one....

Thanks!

Edit: removed it, downloaded from website and installed it. Same thing happens. I did play around a few days ago previewing some labels, but printed a recipe afterwards no problems. Maybe I should go back to that version and try again?

edit2: set it up on anotherr computer and it works fine. Hmmm. My brain is taking retirement too literally! Still a gereat calculator even if I mangle things :)

edit3: went back to original computer, did best to uninstall everything, then reinstalled using setup, not portable. Same damn thing. Must sprocked something somewhere...

edit4: somehow Windows set a different printer as default. Set it to the correct printer AND ALL IS GOOD! Yippy!!!

Just wanted to express my appreciation for the location addition to the last version. I gotta say it is one heck of a time saver. I am able to mix complex recipes in no time. I have noticed that there has not been a single comment on this addition. I am actually quite surprised. Does nobody else spend forever looking for the flavors to do there mixing ? I have approx 140 flavors and can grab any one in 3 seconds flat. I used to find all my flavors before starting to mix. Now I pull them one at a time and never have to wonder if I already added a flavor or not LOL.

Hi, i was wondering what are your options values set at. 4% on mine is 1.2g but others is 2-2.4g
albe, you can check the values in the edit ingredient page. Generally it is set to 1 gram per ml. This can be modified in two ways. The first is to set it manually and the second is to click on the set to pg/vg content. I like the second option. It makes things very simple.

Long time user of this calculator. My only thing I have ever wanted to see was a way to lock the ingredients in a recipe and the percentages. Sometimes when one of the fields in highlighted and you scroll, then it will change the value. I just wish I could lock it all down once the recipe is final.

Tools > Options > Mouse Wheel tab
I think this is exactly what can assist you here :)

In addition to the mouse wheel option there is a new option, "Tools->Options", Recipe Defaults tab. Check the "Lock ingredients to prevent accidental changes".

It runs great under Wine.

Like I tell my wife, I'm running Linux to not run Windows. Know that seems a bit stubborn. Prefer not fooling with the overhead though. I know it is virtual machine. Just not interested in Windows on here in any way. Bad enough it tries aliasing rm -d -f / *.* to ls on me daily, don't need some freak show clown dancing across the screen offering help but only meaning it'll just scatter your data, only six ways to Sunday. Not used windows in over a decade. The license was too restrictive and the whole thing a big fat insecure crap shoot. Yes, I know "it's a virtual machine, so you can just a few 'decent' programs". Uh huh, sure it is, it's a virus far worse than Unix/Linux.

I'll be alright though. Seen a few good calculators here and there online. :)

Whether you decide to run a GUI application inside a WM, using the associated shared libraries, or nothing at all is completely up to you. I hope you find something suitable to your needs.

DIY E-liquid Seems to do okay. There's a few others as well. It springs to mind right up front.

I just no longer like Windows. It creeps me out. Even if it is sandboxed, I think it'll infect my white room. Erm, oops.

In the Recipe screen (the main screen) there is a "Category" window (dropdown). When I initally started using the program I was placing what type of vape I was making i.e. Cream or Fruit etc. I found I really don't use that anymore but wished to start using that drop down for things like "To Mix" or "First Test".
I am having an issue trying to remove the old entries (the Cream or Fruit) words from that category list. How is that done?

It appears that I don't have an option to remove a category once it has been added. I will look into adding the ability.

My previous post was incorrect.
Categories are removed automatically when there are no recipes referencing them. Either change a category to another value or blank out the category in your recipe(s) and once it is not referenced it will be removed. You won't see it removed from the dropdown list after you remove it from the last recipe until you either view another recipe or close and re-launch the calculator.
