I have tried the newest version, with a quick label printing and it's working as expected. Pure awesomeness!

Regarding the apparent complexity, well I've had some difficulties with it at start, because I was using another program. The big difference, was saving a new whole file, instead of saving an individual recipe. It still scares me, namely when making some changes in several recipes and then forgetting if I had it saved or not. Usually I quit without saving, playing safe. Sometimes it gets annoying but I get over it.

All other advantages surpass the small issues.

I don't think it's complex but, maybe if by default, all options were very simple (just ml's and %'s, basic printing options, etc) and users must activate advanced ones.
Or, and sometimes it works wonders, some layout revamp?
Notes and warnings could move down and ingredients and final results move up.
I believe it could be more easy readable and user friendly.

Wrapping it up, this is THE calculator.
Great job, and many thanks HotRod19579.

I'm not certain if this is a bug or a feature that hasn't been added as of yet, but I thought I'd toss it the issue out here and see if anybody else can replicate it.

Today I spent some time adding all the new flavors I purchased over the last week along with a few larger replacement bottles of flavors I had purchased before. For example, I had roughly 5ml of TFA Sweet Cream left in stock and picked up a 4oz bottle from TFA (118ml). The calculator initially showed that I had 5ml of Sweet Cream in inventory so I went to ingredient management, found sweet cream, and under cost inputed $7 and 118ml. Once I clicked "add to inventory" though my inventory amount didn't change to 123ml, but instead replaced the remaining 5ml with the new amount of 118ml. If this is the intended behavior, I can wait to update my inventory when my initial bottles are completely dry (or I can do the very simple math in my head) but if it is a bug I thought I should bring it up.

First, this is some really awesome work. You're rather speedy in your roll outs and I appreciate that to no end.

As a power user of a lot of devices, it's neither complex nor difficult to use. I do understand however feeling conflicted about having two printing options. A layout change doesn't seem warranted to me. Refreshes are always welcome but I like having the errors off on the side.

Really your traditional print recipe would be all you needed in the drop down menu. Then once that is opened you could have a show advanced options ticker box to be check marked and remembered, or have that in settings itself.

Two things were on my mind last I used it. One being that you have to adjust the PG/VG to follow the correct percentage as you add flavoring ingredients. It doesn't self adjust, leaving an error unless you drop the VG down below the exceeded amount. I tried the other ratio setting but it didn't help that if I remember correctly . I don't typically add PG unless it's part of the flavoring. The second thing is that it feels like the ability to add lines of text unrelated to present ingredients on the label would be a great improvement. Adding a line saying please keep away from children and pets, etc. You can't go wrong with warnings even with DIY. That's just an example of what an "add/remove line of text" with an empty text box could be used for.

First of all Hotrod...Great job on the work you have done. The new printing feature is excellent!! It's nice to be able to print more than one label at a time. I agree with Jason above about being able to add additional text in the way of a warning statement. Again, I can't say it enough THANK YOU for the amount of time you have put into this thing.

I believe I found the problem that you were having. If you updated the "Inventory Amount" and did NOT click the "Update Ingredient" and then you added your cost and new amount and clicked the "Add to Inventory" button, it would not properly calculate your total volume. I have created a fix for this which I am uploading now.

And when shall you be adding a PayPal donate button under the "help" menu so we can compensate you for all this hard work? You rock!

LOL, I am investigating establishing a website. When this happens I will include a donate button. I also hope to include a mechanism to allow for uploading/downloading and sharing recipes as well as a "Live Update" feature.

Your calculator is the best out there IMO. Recipe sharing would be awesome for sure.

Thank you for developing this app hotrod. It is an excellent piece of work. I look forward to what other ideas you'll come up with. I don't think its too complex at all. There is a lot of functionality here but if you don't have to use it all and it doesn't get in the way in my opinion. Love the new labels!

Move the website with PayPal Donate button to highest priority HotRod. I can't begin to tell you how much I rely on and enjoy your program. I want to be able to send a few $'s your way as a thanks for all the hard work you've put into this.

I just made V4.0.0.3 available for download. It adds a requested option to print all ingredients in the database, File->Print Ingredients.

Also by request I added a "Help->Donate" button that can also be found on the Help->About window.

Thank you all for all of the positive feedback on the functionality of the calculator but I cannot take full credit. The calculator has evolved based on the ideas and requests from the folks in this forum.
