this will change vaping ...trust me :)

I have two from Hoosier Vapes. More silica inside it then there is mesh.

I bought the 1.8 ohm version in smoky black. Don't make me get my camera out.

The taste in these is "off" not muted but a bit metallic. Its a warm vape.....I doubt I'll open the 2nd one...I have many better options

I got a Bauway CE8 SS Mesh Clearomizer not long ago and the review linked in the other post doesn't differ from what I would have to say while I would underscore that the Bauway does not have the problem that some of the other 'brands' do when the fluid gets below the holes. That said, the cost of the Bauway is much more then the good old (should we call the 5 old now that there is an 8?) ones and really don't give any more or a better vape then the CE5. I know that there are cheaper ones coming along but since most are still pre-orders and not well (or at all) reviewed I am not sure if the cheaper ones will be totally disposable or will also be rebuildable or if they will measure up to the Bauway or be like some of the other CE8's I have tried and run out of juice and burn while you still have 0.4 ml in it.. Since I can get a rebuildable CE5 that gives me the same vape as the Bauway, will allow me to vape until dry i am not really interested in paying a few dollars more for it. I think it may end up being one of those matters of personal choice, but to all extents and purposes right now I will stick with my good old rebuildable CE5.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I figured i'd put in my two cents. Got one from empire mods this week, and decided to give it a whirl with a bit of sample juice I had. Tastes great after a few drags, lots of vapor, no funny tastes or smells, but the issue is... the holes are rediculously high. I can't see it working very well for an entire tank. If anyone has a different experience please let me know, but for now I think I'll just be sticking to my protank. Easier to fill, and it vapes great till the last drop.

I agree but I've vaped down to the hole nearest the coil and it was fine. Had to tilt a little more than normal but no different than a CE4 clearo. I now have 11 of them and the only negative I can say is it does take about 1ml of vaping when brand new to break it in. I love them because I don't have the leakage when I've vaped half way down, need to top it off to take with me out the door, or deal with the clean up. Nice and neat!

I got one of these at a local vendor here in chattanooga tn about a week ago and it does produce a warm vape and it works fine until ur juice gets below the first hole then I got gurgling so I had to keep the CE8 full at all times to get it to work right or at least keep the juice level above the top hole, for this reason i will not buy any replacement coils for this unit, but if there is something different that i need to know or something i am not doing right with this clearomizer I am open for information on how to use properly other wise ,i just bought a clearomizer that has replaceable coils but is not user friendly, who wants to keep topping off juice after every 8 to 10 drags. Looks like good idea and had my hopes up but it just doesnt work well for that reason.:vapor:

Maybe it is me.

But I believe that there Isn't an Off the Shelf One-Size-Fits-All Clearomizer for All People at All Voltages/Currents for All e-Liquids.

So if a New Clearo doesn't work well for a given person, maybe it Isn't worthless. Maybe it just needs to be Tweaked Slightly to work for the given Vaper.

I haven't tried many Clearos that I couldn't get to Work Better by making Something Bigger for More Wicking. Or making something Smaller to Stop Leaking. I think it gets down to how much a Person wants to Tweak a Clearo.

And if a Person Doesn't want to Tweak a Clearo, that's Cool Also. But they may have to try Many Clearos to find the One that Works for there Voltage and e-Liquid.

When I read about a Clearo that Leaked, I always ask myself... "I wonder if the e-Liquid the Person was using is Thinner than the e-Liquid I Use?"

Same with getting a Burnt Taste. Is the person using a Thicker e-Liquid than mine? Or Higher Watts than what I do? Or maybe Both?

I pretty much agree, ZoiDman. But in the instance of the new CE8, there's not much one can do. Not possible to rewick it, although the coil assembly is replaceable. So this may be one that you can't make better.

Vaping is certainly not one of the "one size fits all" pursuits! I do think it's valuable to try different delivery devices, as our individual wants and needs vary. And while doing that, it's important to learn the idiosyncracies of said devices, to learn how to make them work at their best.

I agree that there's not a one size fits all. For me, I vape between 3.5 and 3.8v. I do try higher voltages and lesser voltages depending on the juice. I got on the Kanger bandwagon when I read the great recommendations about them. I have 9 T3s and 8 EVODs. The T3s would be fine on the initial fill but after that would flood my battery. The EVODs weren't quite as bad, but they too would gurgle at less than a half full tank. For a 1.6ml clearo I decided the old standby CE4 was just as good as I didn't get much leakage. The T3s drove me crazy and I lost so much juice trying to refill. Then I found a nice vendor who gave me some advice on how to tweak so that they would work better. I tried it and it did work, but it requires adding additional flavor wicks. For the lesser price, the Bauway works for me. Less hassle and I think the flavor is just as good as any other I've tried. The Vivi Novas are great from a non-leaking standpoint but I think they give dry hits and little flavor.

I've come to the conclusion after so much money spent on clearos that there is no perfect one out there. I debated on the Protank and decided not to. I'm glad I didn't now because there's negatives being claimed on those too :).

This is hard to Disagree with.

If a Company came out with a Clearo that Worked with All PG|VG ratios and Worked at Wattages from 5~12, they would Completely Dominate the e-Cigarette Market.

And Make a Fortune Doing it.

Well as it turns out my boys love them. They offered to trade in all the old ones they have for new ones like this. Ours are the really cheap ones from Fasttech ($2.42 but not fixable when they fail/get old) and thus far no leaking on any of them. I think the trick is to be someone who is perfectly fine with mixing flavors and never thinking that things need cleaning. That way your always happy to keep it topped up with what ever is at hand and when it clogs and stops working you toss it and tell Mom that it had an accident. In other words for clubbing 21 year olds they are pretty perfect. And at least at that price mom does not get vexed when you want a new one.

I've found that once the juice drops to the first (highest) hole, the gurgling starts. I took mine off, cleaned out the battery connector well, drew 2 or 3 times on the clearo before reattaching. Also, turned up to a higher voltage. Now between 1st and bottom hole, I'm getting very little gurgling. It's fine!

Check these out True CE5+ ego Clearomizer Fusion enhanced have fiber fill (see the white) instead of SS, got some coming and will report back. I'm liking the SSS ones too but can get a dry hit or two chain vaping but so KISS.

I actually got some of the replacement coil heads like this with the rubber 'cone' as they call it instead of the metal piece that fits under the rubber cone in most Ego clearos. I haven't tried them yet. I've asked both suppliers (as I wanted to compare) if they were defective and were told by both that that is how they come. I'll let you know when I have tried one.

I've got both with rubber and metal tops too, can't tell a difference myself BUT they all have SS mesh in the tube, looks gray through the 4 holes. These that Ike is selling have white fiber filler in the tube, not SS Mesh. Mine should be here today will report back on first try.
It's SS like all the others, so sad, but that's not BAD, these are still worth trying
