i have a vaporesso target vtc 75
I just bought new kanthal 0.9 coils. The first coil i used only tasted like porridge so i tryed another one. I put it in and filled up with juice, i waited for about 20 minutes and then i took small drags until i thought it was ok. Now it still tastes the e juice flavor with a really weird taste. Its a very weird taste and i have never had this problem before.
Anyone know what i could have been doing wrong? And its not a good porridge flavour its really disgusting.
I still have alot of vapor but the taste is a little plastic and porridge kinda.

Thanks in advance

Make sure you are priming the coils before installation. This is soaking the wick of the coil generously with juice and adding juice into the center and also through the air holes in the sides of the coil housing. Pro tip: Add a few drops into the center and roll it in your fingers for a few seconds then repeat this about 5-6 times.
You want to ensure the wicking in the coil is well saturated before firing.
Hope this helps...Vape On!

Welcome and enjoy your stay here!

I guess you do not like porridge? I have to agree with other suggestion for letting it sit longer after priming. I have also seen many suggestions on putting tiny pin holes in the wick materials or no power pulls. Good Luck and hope for find the solution to your unpleasant vaping experience!

If i get alot of vapor like normaly but the taste is weird could it still be a preming problem? Wouldnt the vapor also be reduced if the coil got bad from not preming enough?

Very possible but I have read many threads about the wick material not getting fully saturated causing a dry spot and bad tastes or burning. It is very hard to theorize on what you taste and I am not an expert but rather just trying to offer some helpful possible suggestions. Good Luck and I hope you find the answer! :w00t:

Whenever u install a new coil whether it's prebuilt or diy you always want to prime the wicking material which is usually the cotton.

Get it nice and saturated with your ejuice before installation. Even with priming you will need to do some primer puffs at low wattage. And even after you've done all this the coil usually takes about a quarter tank to be fully broken in
