new coils taste way different than any others

i just got a new set of kanger coils and my juice taste totally different than any of my other new kanger coils. at first i thought is was my fresh batch of juice. but tried some old juice with new coil and blam totally diff taste, really sharp and none of the light undertones.
yes did prime and wait
yes did start at low wattage
its not a burnt flavor
any ideas

as far as i know they are kanger came in kanger black box with foil package.
no have never washed my coils before use. will have to try this. what best water,alcohol,vodka?

never have dry burned before, confused about why a dry burn wont ruin a coil but why not priming a coil with juice will
Dry burn puts a very thin layer of oxidation on the coil, priming a coil just bathes the coil in juice and after firing it you get that bad hot metal taste, to wash the coils use as hot water as you can stand running out of the tap...run it thru it, then blow it out, repeat 3x, then squeeze in paper towel and burn it until coils glow evenly.

Did you do a conditioning dry burn on them? (don't take out the silica wicks, just red hot "burn" the coils for a few seconds to pre-condition them, otherwise you get that funky "hot metal taste" for a while



I bought an IBTanked and have the same issue so I quit using it. Do I need to do the same thing with that coil? Never read that.
