I haven't been around these forums in a while, so sorry if this is old news, I just seen a commercial on the television for http://***.americanbluetip.com/ .

This is in New York on the largest Cable television channel provider, Cablevision. Does this mean the E-cig is here to stay?

I rushed to post here so forgive me if I haven't actually researched the company.

I'm not too sure what this has to do with my question.

I could care less about the crappy company peddlin' their crappy e-cigs, I'm talking about the fact that they advertized this on a major cable tv provider.

Where are their FDA approvals? Even if it's 0nic cartridges, doesn't this mean that the public is catching on? I don't think Cablevision makes it a practice to air commercials for illegal substances right?

And I hope that "Being Lazy" comment wasn't directed at me. I know how to look up a domain on whois, and just because "Google maps" shows a place as an empty lot doesn't mean thats whats there.

Oh i know, just wanted to put it out there its not a ny company.

e cigs are not illegal. they are unproved. Cable company just selling time.

Fda does not have the right to make something illegal, congress, the state and the county does.

So then, that's kinda messed up that they would air an ad for such a controversial(sp?) product.

I wonder if Cablevision screens the content, I mean they must look at what content the commercials they air contain right?

This has to be a positive thing for Ecigs tho, wouldn't you say?
Allowing airtime for a product that hasn't been approved by the FDA?

Just the amount of people seeing the commercial has to be good for the Ecigs in general, even if to just raise awareness right?

I completely understand that.

It's as bad of a scam as the ecig google ads all over.

Or those fake "newsreportDOTcom" pages that claim to be a report on ecigs when they're just ads for a company.

I'm asking how they can advertise something like an Electronic Inhaler on TV, when there is so much controversy over ecigs.

You may say, "Well they have 0nic, so it's not something that needs FDA approval."

But if thats the case, then all PV hardware and even liquid should be allowed to be sold, yes? So long as there isn't any nic?

And they still must be using PG/VG right? So isn't that also untested as far as the FDA is concerned?

Forgive me if I'm dense, I'm just trying to understand how this company can advertise on TV when there is so much going on about bans and the ecig industry.

Despite what everyones favorite ambulance chaser claims, there is no law on the books specifically preventing the sale of the products. So why would it be illegal to advertise them?

The FDA has issued a ban on importing the products, which is being enforced on a spotty basis. Obviously they are not catching all the incoming shipments because we are all still vaping.

Judge Leon granted an injunction against the ban on imports, and the FDA has been granted a temporary stay on execution of the injunction (i.e., they are allowed to continue to steal products), awaiting the decision of the appeals court.

Does that help?
