OP - This is a response that you might not want to hear, but having walked pretty much the exact same path myself I can honestly say I never found a tank or carto system that gave me the satisfaction I was looking for. It wasn't until I finally took the time to learn about rebuildable drippers and mech mods that I found it. I got a smoktek Magneto mech and a tobh RDA(clone), plus an ohm meter, some proper 18650 IMR AW/Sony batteries, a charger, kanthal, sterile cotton balls, etc. and now I'm absolutely certain I'll never touch another cigarette. The vapor production and nicotine delivery of a good mech + RDA setup is amazing, and completely erased my craving for analogs. It's a bit of an upfront investment (around $150 all in if you stay on the cheaper side) and it definitely has a learning curve, but it's 100% worth it IMO.

Don't be scared off by all the safety warnings. They are absolutely real and valid, and you should always heed them - but if you take the time to educate yourself, and are thoughtful and careful about things, there's no reason to be scared. And this forum has all the information you could possibly need, so you are in the right place to learn. Plus with all the big powerful regulated mods coming out, there's probably no need to even bother with mech mods. You still need to learn about battery safety and proper coil building, but it's an extra layer of safety to not need to worry about using unregulated devices. Just my 2 cents :)

I couldn't justify buying a Provari right now with Provari3 on the horizon. My MVP2 from worldofvape.com came in the mail today and so far I like it. I haven't had to charge and have a spare battery on the side like I did with the Kanger Evod2 and the Vision Spinner. TBH I am really kicking myself for not doing the MVP2 from the get go. It is doing the job. I plan on purchasing a Nautilus from the same site this week, though the Iclear30 just proved what I had long suspected... The juice I have been purchasing "handmade in house" at the vape shop is really gawd awful. Thinking of trying Highbrow Vapor soon as well.
The suggestion of building my own anything is a great one but truthfully a frightening one ;) I am a walking panic attack as it is, which is probably a large part of my nicotine addiction. Lol

By the way, worldofvape had the best prices, shipping policies i could find online. The selection may be limited but that's a good thing. I was beginning to feel overwhelmed before I found this site. The fact that my products came with authenticity codes and that my order helped a few charitable organizations really sealed my deal with worldofvape. I will certainly recommend them heartily provided an email inquiry I sent them is answered satisfactorily. So far though, I do recommend them for any new and confused vapors such as myself :)

My suggestion is go to a good local Vape shop and buy a Kayfun clone, and have them set it up. I am returning to vaping and that is what I went straight to. I am blown away by the flavor and production on this thing. I tried vaping back in 2009 and there was nothing that came close. I am puffing on a mint watermelon and it hits just like a menthol, with a hint of watermelon. I would only occasional smoke menthol but this has been my all day vape for a few days as it is close to a menthol cigarette.

As far as advice on using a kayfun I will repeat what I wrote in another thread. "I would suggest the coil build vids, and pay attention to wick length and size.. Look into a "coiling gizmo" if you are concerned over coil making. It can be bought locally and modified for around $10 to make perfect micro-coils. 28ga Kanthal A1 seems to be the most popular wire for the Kayfun, 6-8 turns at 1.2-1.8 ohms. Japanese cotton sheets seems to be the overall consensus for wicking; although many are sporting Rayon on Kayfuns. The biggest concern with Kayfun is wick placement and size, less is more, it appears that on top of the channel and not in the channel is best location for Kayfuns. I just came back to vaping and have done substantial research on these topics, and this is a summary of many hours of research."
