I really like both the ProVari and the MVP 2... If you're contemplating holding off on a higher priced mod, and getting an MVP 2 during the wait, there are a couple of options out there coming in the near future that might be interesting...

I have a couple of ProVari's... A red standard and a Satin Silver Mini, both V2.5's... And both very high quality. Wouldn't give them up...

And I love ProVape as a company. They make an excellent product from start to finish... The video Bad linked above kind of says it all. Although there is a lengthy factory tour 2 part video that goes even further into the minds and workings of the ProVape factory. Very impressive group of people...

That said, there are two companies that make regulated boards that I would put my trust in. ProVape, and Evolv.

Evolv has just teamed up with Innoken, the folks who make the MVP... So Evolv is making their next gen dna boards with boost AND buck circuitry, as well as reverse battery protection, and selling them to Innoken so the next SVD from Innoken will have a new 20W board from Evolv as its guts...

That's a lot of jibberish for a new vaper, I'm sure... Here's my readers digest version.

Innoken makes sturdy well made mods... Evolv makes great electronics... Evolv board in an Innoken mod will be a fantastic device!

Who knows when the ProVari P3 will hit the streets... The SVD v2 is supposed to hit the streets sometime in September...

I'll be the first to say, it probably will not compare to the P3 for build quality... But the performance should be top notch! I'm looking forward to some reviews of the SVD 2 just to see how it performs. There have always been competitors to the ProVari, but nobody that could pump out comparable quality and vape experience in the numbers that ProVape could put out. I suspect the SVD 2 will be a ProVari quality vape experience at a much more attractive price point.

Worth checking out!

I know, it probably doesn't help with the confusion! LoL... I'm just really excited about this particular device, cause it should offer a very good alternative to the P3 for those folks that have an issue with the $200+ price point of the ProVape products. In fact, the pairing of Innoken and Evolv is exciting in itself... If Evolv starts pumping out the brains for a majority of the high end Innoken products, that just screams success IMO...

I agree whole heartedly on the SVD2. The combo of innokin and evolv is sure to make something spectacular.

I had the same issues with my eGo styles just not doing the trick -- then I picked up an itaste vv with an Aspire Nautilus mini tank and just LOVE it. I love the variable wattage. When I fill up a tank, I slowly crank the wattage up from 6.5 to about 9 or 10, in .5 increments. At about 10, I get that nice warm hit with a big cloud and feel like there's lots of power behind it. The vv also has a passthrough charging system, which means you can charge and vape at the same time. As such, I'm sitting at my computer with the thing plugged into my USB hub, vaping away! It tends to last me pretty much all day with frequent - constant vaping.

Oh, and this might help too: I recently got some advice from a kick..... shop owner. Apparently, analog cigs have chemicals (like ammonia) that speed up nicotine delivery to the bloodstream. So, analog cigarettes provide faster satisfaction when a nic craving hits. As such, he told me to vape like crazy. The trick is to stay ahead of the cravings. If you keep nicotine in your bloodstream... well, let's just say I haven't had any cravings since I started that technique. I did have to drop down a level of nicotine to keep from getting headaches and stomachaches, but like I said I didn't even notice because I just keep puffing.

Hope something in this thread helps you -- keep fighting the good fight!

You guys are awesome. Thanks so much for the heads up on Evolv and Innokin. After reading up based on the I go from earlier posts, I honestly think my Evod 2 is almost desposable based on the delivery system I need as a heavy ex smoker. Yes, I am still resisting the urge to but analogs but boy am I miserable. Still deciding what direction my next purchase will take me, but I know it includes a nautilus tank.

Ronnbert, with all my purchases I try to patronize Brick and Mortar as long a I can afford it. That's why I ended up in one or vaping as well. After checking yelp and google reviews of shops in town, I get a strong feeling that these are "hurried" businesses set up to get their foot in the door on this emerging market. I won't say more, but the shop I frequent seems like the lesser of evils right now. I will probably purchase online this time simply because this shop doesn't carry either of to two products I'm considering now :(

Sometimes it seems like B&Ms are so hit and miss. I usually buy all my equipment online because I have tried to go into the local vape shops for certain things and they never have the tanks, or mods, or they have to order them...it was just a headache. So I only go to B&Ms for juice and even the premium juices I like I have to order online.

Wow! I have learned more in the past few posts than I have in an entire month! Thanks! This morning after some serious disappointment with the spinner battery life, I did some online research and the Innokin MVP was my next course of action. The name Provari never once entered my findings until this post. I love the idea of a Provari. Money wise it would make sense to do the MVP until the 3 is available.

The MVP is really good. I personally have a Vamo V5 with an Aspire Nautilus tank because I don't like the box in my hand and I'm too poor for a Provari right now! lol I think it's really just about trying different things and seeing what works for your taste and style. That's also one of the fun but expensive things about vaping.

I have the same experiences with my local shop. They are nice people, but they are just trying to get you to buy stuff and send you out the door. They don't really explain anything and you have to look up stuff for yourself in order to understand what you're doing. It's crazy!

I also started out with a starter kit eGo-T type kit, probably similar to yours. It really didn't cut it for me. I was smoking a little still, and knew there had to be a better way. I posted here, and I got many responses to get the MVP2 battery and Aspire Nautilus tank. So that very day that's what I did! I must say the MVP2 is amazing so far. It lasted me 3 days, heavy use, and it works so much better than my eGo batteries, which only lasted a couple of hours. I use those in my car now, and the MVP2 at home. The tank that came with the MVP2, the iClear 30, is AWESOME! I get tons of vapor with that thing.

I highly recommend it. It was actually cheaper to get the MVP2, charger, and iClear 30 than it was for my initial eGo starter pack. I wish I had known! But oh well, now I have two backup eGo batteries and cheapo tanks.

VannyPak: I'm too poor for a Provari too. :[[[[

How much did you pay for a carton of poison? For me, it's 60. If you buy by the pack, then way more.

If you make your current mod work and squirrel away that poison money, anyone can afford one.

Hi :) new to vaping. I purchased an EVOD 2 kit from kanga at a local shop. I'm not very satisfied. The unit itself performs as it should, I just hate continually dead batteries and feel I need more "power". Yesterday I purchased a Vision Spinner and I'm still left with "meh".
Frankly I feel as if my shop just "sells" me something rather than listening to my needs. It 3 weeks now I have been using 36 mg nic ejuice and barely avoid lighting up analogs.
Something isn't right.

36mg is very high. I smoked a pack and half of camel lights daily, and started off with 24mg, which was plenty. You have to know that vaping nicotine does not go into your blood at the same rate cigarettes do. The tobacco companies turbo charge their tobacco to get into your blood very quick, feeding your addiction and dependency. Vaping nicotine gradually enters your blood over a period of 15-20 minutes of vaping. Try a different flavor than tobacco based juices, like a cinnamon or menthol one to see if it gives you a better throat hit sensation, give it 20-30 minutes of vaping to feel the effects instead of instant relief you are used to. There is a good YouTube video presenting what we know about e cigarettes today, done by some British chick. I found it very helpful to understand the differences and expectations you should have. Don't give up, you'll find the right gear and flavor to help you get that satisfaction, and more!
