Fumble, good description. It didn't look much different than the way I fumbled around with mine. Great video for us average guys. Watching Rob's videos can make you feel kind of inferior when you start fumbling around even though his information videos are great.
Couple of points.
If the Reo is older, Rob has said he used to use liquid weld on the post nut. So if you know the Reo is older break the nipple off like SuperX did in the video. I had a new one that I was able to unscrew and reuse the post nut and everything. The older one I had wouldn't budge so I broke it off.
I think it easier to separate the post and it's pieces. Put the grommet in first and use the top of the post to seat it like Rob does in his video. The put the Teflon washer on the post and seat it with a screwdriver with out pushing too hard. That will eliminate the problem of the post moving when you're trying to put the nut on.
Everything else is pretty straight forward as SuperX has in the video.
