New DIY flavor

I received my flavorwest order yesterday and purchased one I have never used or tried before. The description of the flavor sounded good it is reindeer poop. I know,I know forget the name it is a cinnamon bun topped with ice cream with fudge on top. The standard for FW line is 20% and wondering if anyone else has tried this flavor and can give me starting point for it? I have a couple flavors from them that do not taste good at the standard 20% and I just don't want to waste too much experimenting with it.

I have never had to go up to 20% for FW. ELR recipes has a flavor list under resources that has recommended percentages. I would start at 10% and work my way up from there.

Yeah, what Letitia said. Over on ELR, the median percentage as a single flavor was 11-12%. Extra points were given for adding marshmallow or peanut butter .

I rarely flavor above 8--10 with anything, but definitely not something new. Most one shot flavors I will play around with by adding some things anyway so then mine wind up needing to steep, but I would say most likely, starting lower and then flavoring up a bit is going to be easier than trying to dilute something down. I really hate doing that. I've done it, but I don't enjoy it.

It's hard to say what will best suit your palate, but flavoring on the lower side to start is generally a good practice, with any new flavor. They're all different, and your palate is going to be very individual. Best of luck,
