SMOKtech e-Pipe 18350 Mechanical mod - Chrome
$49.95

Very cool new mod from SMOktech offers a very practical form factor and a unique, fun and stylish aesthetic - The e-Pipe 18350 mod. This sports a chrome-clad brass body with very smooth threading, a large thumb-friendly firing button and eGo well.

Please note that insertion of your 18350 IMR battery is counter-intuitive. It is easy to insert your battery in with the wrong polarity on this mod. Make sure the POSITIVE side of your battery is at the BATTERY CAP end - in other words insert your battery NEGATIVE end FIRST. If you install a carto and your unit begins to fire without pressing the fire button, take the battery out to make sure your polarity orientation is correct.

One of the nice features of the e-Pipe is that it is weighted nicely. When you place the mod down it won't accidentally tip over with its low center of gravity and solid wide base.

No arguing that this mod is just plain cool :) and definitely a head turner.

  • 52mm high(2.0 inches); 24mm wide, not including the pipe extension (~1 inch)
  • Mod only, no batteries included.

I really wanted one at first but than I realized it's got some major drawbacks. Can't kick it, no Ego connector and no tube cover for cartos included. That's not asking too much. So I've changed my mind about it till "maybe" the V2 comes out.

Well, it does have the well to allow the ego connections....not sure what you are referring to as far as the tube covers....and yea....no kickin it. I'd love to see one come out vv or vw without having to use a kick....but *sigh* have a feeling it will be a long long wait

Got mine today, and sadly, it autofires! :(
I use Efest 800mAH 18350 with nipple. And it sems like the nipple just fits inside the delrin(?) insolator at the button.
Is there any way to fix this?

Also, the battery fits (besides the autofire), but just barelly. The mod is almost too short. If you use any battery that's a little bit bigger (if there is any), it might not fit.
AND: It is NOT fully mechanical! -It's constructed like one, and it's a spring- loaded mechanical button, But there's a WIRE that connects it to the body.. -Why, Smoktech?!? WHY??

OK, my bad, didn't see the "battery wrong-end-in-first note". Didn't say that on the page where I bought it either.. -Again: WHY, Smoktech???
-If you don't know this when you get it (like me) and doesn't pay attention when it's assembled, it could get really bad, really fast! And for what? WHY design it this way??? -It's an unnecessary risk!! If they made the delrin hole just a little bit smaller, it would not autofire. -Horrible designwork IMO!

since you are saying this info was not on the page where you bought it....did you buy it from GotVapes? Here is a direct quote from the product page on GotVapes site....

Norman, Ok

A wire isn't considered an electronic component ( though electronic components do contain them ).... So it still classifies as a mech mod. I'm not a big fan of using wires in them either... but the use of them doesn't change the technical description of it being a mechanical one...

I've sort of started calling them "sort of" mech mods because of my own dislike of using wires... :D

No actually I didn't get it from GV.. -I found this thread through search and didn't realize it was a vendor-specific thread, Sorry about that!
I got mine from another vendor as a pre-order (usually not much info on those)

Yeah, I still get frustrated when I get a wired mech, even if it really doesn't make That much difference.
But I always expect a "fully" mechanical mod without any wires when I order a "mech".
I usually call these wired ones "semi-mechs", I refuse to call them full mechs. :p
