New EGO TANK system.

^^ I've been on LR 100% of the time I've had my Ego-T, and have gotten bad taste only at the times I noted above. I wonder what it is that causes such differences in the experience from one of us to the other.

I *totally* love my Ego-T so far -- though it is temperamental enough with the dark juice that I will probably avoid dark flavors in the future unless I hear that Type-B atomizers help with that issue.

I've never had a plastic taste or any kind of problem with my Ego-T's - Type A tanks or Type B Large tanks. The Type B represents significant improvements and I do like it much better than the A's. I also enjoy the Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartos. Overall, I'd say that the Ego-T in several configurations is a great medium-priced PV. I didn't like the Ego mega cartridge with filler at all. I also tried some non-Joye equipment for the Ego-T that had very poor performance or didn't work at all (i.e. CE-2, Giantomizer).

I dont know if some one have run into this issue witg the tanks but i noticed that some of the tanks swell with some juices. I have mixed my own juice with orange lorrann oil and after a few refills i noticed that it was much harder to pull tank out. It was countinuing untill it wouldnt fit back into aoutomizer. I have changed tank and same thing happend after a couple refills. So i desided to do an experiment and washed both tanks and left them to dry and sure enough after they dried they fitted to aoutomizer. My next step was to fill the them up with two different juices. I put my orange mix into one and another was filled with regular juice that i bought a while ago. After a couple of refills the tanks with orange mix swelled up again.
Did any one else expirienced the same problem ?

Booboo -- try the rubber caps. They seal better and you will eliminate any plastic getting to hot sitting on the plate above the coil. I never had the plastic taste, but I switched to the rubber for a better seal. They may last longer than the plastic one's, but I haven't used them long enough to find out.

Sibirniki - Yes to that problem but with lemon essential oil rather than orange. I'm guessing any citrus oil will have the same effect. My solution to the problem was 'life is short - tanks are cheap' Once they got so tight that I had to struggle to plug them in, I replaced them.

When you run one empty, fill another and wash the old one to let it shrink back down.

In six+ weeks, the only tank I've "lost" was just today: I lost the whistle tip insert one of the times I dropped it on the floor. It still works without it, though. And maybe that'll reduce the moisture in the mouthpiece.
But I've been cycling the same three tanks, out of the 15 I have already.

I'm just getting tired of this thing jumping out of my shirt pocket every time I lean over.
Guess I'll have to get a leather pouch or something.

There are any number of oils that are aggressive to plastics. You can clean them, but once exposed, it may or may not help. As said before, tanks are cheap. You might note which oils you use that cause the swelling and try others that may not have the same effect.

Use one of the Joytech lanyards sold at TW and other places. It has a metal ring that fits over the button between the battery and atty. Works as a safety line so your e-cig only drops to around your neck. Has saved my eGo-T many times over.

As for the tip inserts in your tanks, I remove them on my tanks when I wash out the tank. They just snap right back in. It's also handy to put diferent collored inserts into clear tanks to tell them apart. My main vap has both inserts changed to red, really makes it stand out. My desert vapes are blue or red tanks with the black inserts from the black tips that come on the atties. I love color coding the tanks and then marking the colors on my DIY juices so I don't forget what is what.

Yep, the first time it came out, I snapped it back in.

The next time, I couldn't find it.

(I'd dropped the PV a couple of times inside of five minutes, so I wasn't sure where it came out.)

I need to get a lanyard or something. It just won't stay in my shirt pocket.
(Especially as I carry it battery up, which keeps it from flooding the atty.)

(I'm certainly giving these things the torture test, at the moment. )

I'm not sure I want it hanging around my neck. I carry mine, tank down, in my shirt pocket -- inside a folded paper napkin, in case of leaks.

Today I ad-libbed a quick work-around: I wrapped a rubber band around my battery and one end of a big paper clip --- instant pocket clip.

I carry it the same way, but it doesn't fall out all the time, now.

I just got mine on Sat. Can't get rid of that nasty taste. I tried two attys and still there. Ugh!!! How do I get rid of all that primer fluid. Is that where the bad taste is coming from? I'm on page 16 of this thread so I'm hoping the answer comes up soon. Any help out there?

Before you use the atomizer the first time, you blow into the battery end for a long, long time (well, not THAT long -- prob 30-45 secs) until no more primer comes out. (Seems like about .5 to 1 ml that comes out to me) Do this with the tank end pointing straight down, and a paper towel or etc under it to catch the drips.

Then wind up the corner of a paper towel or tissue so it will fit in the tank end and swab it out as best you can. I suppose you could follow that up with a qtip to get the last little bit of moisture, but I haven't done that.

I have had my Ego-T about two weeks, and have tried 2 brand new type-A LR atomizers and 1 brand new type-B LR atomizer during that time. Using this method I have not yet tasted the primer taste that everyone refers to at all -- not even on the very first hit. I would guess you could pull your tank out and do this now to purge out the remaining primer, but don't know for sure.

I've seen people say to drip a few drops right into the atomizer before the first tank, in addition to the steps above -- but I haven't done that and have had no trouble.

Bump bump but they still leak. Which meant putting a cart on and watching every one drain down into the atomizer. Not too bad a taste when it's flooded, keep it horizontal, but then it runs out and tastes nasty, and in a while the atomizer gets clogged. Rinse 'em, dry burn 'em, dry 'em. Too bad, but all the liquid STILL just rushes down through the tube. And I'm using 100% VG clear viscous stuff. So what's the point, I'm just going to a lot of trouble for nuthin'

Pulled out a fresh Cylinder Mega Atomizer and one of them fat carts with white filler. Blew out the primer, rinsed the polyfill, put in 1.5 ml of VG flavored with a touch of FA DesertShip, FA Perique and FA Virginia, and I'm in heaven. OK, every so many drags, I drip a few drops on the polyfill, keep it swampy, and away we go. It tastes full and the vapor is mondo vapo! I feel like I've rediscovered ye olde vape. Hey, even a 510 classique set works fine. What's so bad about that? Just don't chew on the cart tip so much.

BTW, tore one of the mega cartomizers apart. Those work very nicely. I didn't know the atomizer section was like a regular atty, with all the filler above it! Cool, now I won't worry about sticking an 18 gauge needle through it.

Although I don't miss the old days of leaks and carrying bottles here's what I do miss: massive vapor production off VG that used to make me cough (sometimes) from even the regular 510 atomizer. Not to mention, there is about 30% less taste so if you have a liquid in which you REALLY enjoy the taste, you can kiss that goodbye as you know it. Lastly, I didn't feel much of a difference between the LR atty and regular, and the cost of $17 at Cignot is a bit much to stomach considering these last only a few weeks for me as a heavy smoker. I am {---} this close to giving up vaping and regular cigarettes cold turkey to transition into a new point in my life. I cannot keep spending this kind of money for any habit.

I'm sorry to be such a downer, but I'm afraid there is no perfect ecig still.

Oh, and for what it's worth, those experiencing a poor draw with the Ego-t should unscrew the atty to the point that it rotates freely on the battery. Much more free flowing draw for such a simple adjustment.

Oh, I dunno, it seems like plain old cartomizers work well enough to just use. Both the eGo mega cartomizers and the 510 ones. Either will easily last several days with no adjustments, at about $2 each, then toss. Even with the amortized battery and juice cost, it's much cheaper than cigarettes. The cost of vaping comes from tinkering. It's a hobby, you spend money on hobbies.

Sorry, I used Type-A tanks at first and wasn't satisfied with the capacity to I switched to (and still use) the type-B. I also run a 1000mah battery which doesn't matter much since I use the USB pass-thru most of the time. Thanks for the advice, I will look into the EMDCC, and I agree better than smoking...although I wouldn't consider myself a true "vaper only" cause sometimes a regular cig just hits the spot, and no fiddling with charge, juice, flow, or any of that. I know...I'm weak but what can I say.

I have a 510-t tank with an auto 510-t battery setup with a relatively high Nic rated pipe tobacco e-liquid, just for those moments. I don't use it at any other times so it comes as a bit of a shock to the system, but saves me from hitting the stogies. The Auto 510-t is as close to the draw and ease of use (of a cigarette) as any e-cig setup I've used. With a bit of training it might work for others too.
