I'll preface this by saying that I have not had any issues with my original eVod heads... they worked like a champ, lasted a good while...easy to clean and keep running. But I try to keep a supply since running low on coils is a very bad thing.:)

The one of the new coils on to try it out... dry hit, no flavor. I let it sit for a while... dryish hit, little flavor. Fiddle with it... no luck. For the first time, I considered pulling one of the top wicks, but haven't tried yet... so the new coil is sitting on its little bath, cleaning will I have an old coil in there.

Maybe it was just packed too tight, but what are the chances that my first coil wasn't built right? In any case, it doesn't bode well. Guess it's time to buy some Kanthal and wick... I might have to hold on to those old coil bodies for a long time.

Anyone else have that experience?

If you bought them from Eric then you received the ProTank coils. These are not the new EVOD coils. Basically they received word that they are going to stop making EVOD coils and will only sell Protank coils instead, something to that effect. Did they really stop making EVOD coils? Personally I don't think so.

If you really want EVOD coils buy them from cravinvapes. He has the real kanger EVOD coils. Use coupon icrave for a discount.

My last Evod came with the 'new' coil as well. I. Don't. Like. It. I have loved my little Evods from the get go, and this 'new' coil is not making me happy - not much flavor, too airy (more so than when I use my ProTank with the same/similar setup inside). Time to look for a seller who still has the shorter-old-style coils and try to stock up, I guess.
