Hey everyone, I used to spend quite a bit of time on this site back in 2009, but it's been a long time and I just started a new account as I had forgotten my old info and didn't care enough to try to figure it out, lol..

Back then, I had a Titan 510 that I used off and on for a while, but last August I broke down a bought a Blu starter kit. I knew the issues, but had hoped that most of them had been worked out (hah!), and mainly bought it for the availability factor now that they're carried almost everywhere around here. Then one of my batteries got shorted out or something by the charger case, it started activating only when you *didn't* pull on it! Anyway, after trading off between the practically worthless disposables and the one working battery I had, I shelled out the money for a Johnson Creek Vea.

I have to say, I can see the issues that some would have with the Vea, but I'm loving it so far (1 month in).

The only problem I have with it is that I'm thinking I would like to not have to mess with carto's. I've been looking longingly at the clearo's and such and wondering what the thread size on the Vea is (so out of the loop now).. Anyone out there have success adding accessories to their Vea? Any ideas on accessories would be greatly appreciated.

Random info that may be relevant:
PG sensitive, so VG only. (concerned about the 'flow' issues some talk about with VG)
Like good throat hit but low nicotine levels. (so anything that promotes that would be helpful)
Can't think of anything else, but feel free to ask.

Welcome back!
I too have recently started using the Vea and I like it very much. But after I took advantage of JC's cyber monday sale they were all out of cartos. I emailed them and asked what resistance their JC cartos were and I was told that they are 1.9 ohm and that if I had to get back ups from another retailer to stick with low resistance between 1.7-2.2 ohm.
Anything with a 510 connection will work fine with the Vea batteries. But take special note to make sure nothing is labeled 'ego threaded', since the Vea doesn't have those.
Hope this helps and happy vaping! :toast:

Since you've been gone a few awesome vape shops have opened around here. Perhaps you already know this but I thought in case you didnt. There is one in Lakewood called The Vaporium. Free juice bar, you can sit and sample to your hearts content. They also have tons of great supplies. There is another shop in Puyallup and another just opened that is related to the Puyallup shop. I like VG juice also so now I pretty much stick to genesis atomizers.

Try attys.....

I was thinking about getting a 510 style atty for dripping, but otherwise I want a tank or clearo or something..

Wait, so the cone doesn't screw on to the Vea? It just slides on?

No, it slides, but it's not going anywhere, the silicone seal is really good.

Oh, and there are big 200+ person vape meets in Tacoma. We takeover a bar called Stone Gate Pizza every now and again. Lots of giveaways of some seriously nice stuff like ProVaris.

EDIT: oops. Almost forgot about the Volcano Cafe.

Thanks! I'll have to try and make it down from Kirkland sometime.

Thanks TBPlayer. Yeah, I had to order some pre-filled to get by. But of course now that my order got here today, the blanks are back up for sale! Oh well.
LOL I saw that today too and ordered some more. I also ordered some SmokTech LR XL single coils off of EC Blend's site. They were the best price I found after looking at almost ALL the vendors here. I'll let ya know what I think of them when they get in. Hopefully by Saturday. :)

Looking forward to your review on those! And yeah, I'm especially kicking myself now. I had to re-fill one in about an hour, then after refilling found it was too gunked with dried juice to use properly and it burnt out the wick, then switched to another and had to refill in about the same time period. It's working okay though, and at least I have carto's to re-fill..

Got those Smoktech cartomizers this morning and loaded one up with some 100% VG juice and so far so good. I notice a little tighter draw on these compared to the Vea cartos but it's not that bad, and the performance is pretty much the same. I got a 5 pack of the 2.0 ohm. Here's the link to EC Blend where I got them:

Cartomizer - SmokTech - 510 Single Coil - XL - ECBlend

That's the BEST price that I found out of all the ECF vendors that I looked through. They're located in SW Oregon.
Hope this helps. :toast:

Thanks! I'll think about giving them a try. I might go with a Boge 2.0 instead though, I found a place where they're the same price as that per 5 pack : Boge Stainless Steel Cartomizers 2.0Ω 5pack. I've heard the Boge's get better performance and last longer, might have to do a side-by-side on the Vea. Also, as soon as money permits I'm going to get a Vamo and an aga-T RBA. My mini vivi nova is on it's way as we speak, so I'll report how well that works on the Vea next week.
