Boge F16 review

Few days I got I got couple of Boge F16 tanks with 1.6ohm flanged cartos. As a user of Boge LR I thought the F16 cartos would be the same only larger.
I filled up the carto and tank but the vape was weak, later I was getting dry hits. So I tried the second F16 carto but was getting same results. Despite the cartos having two holes, I could not get them wet enough for a decent vape.
So I took the tanks, cut them shorter and stuck my good old Boge LR inside. Right away the vape was great.
It seems to me that the F16 cartos are the problem since my own cartos work just fine in the tank.
The tanks alone are of a very good quality, fairly thick tube, metal caps and no leaks. $5 is a good price for a tank alone even if the cartos don't work (for me).

Maybe you needed to take a couple cold hits to suck some liquid in and saturate the coil?

I enlarged the two holes with a Siam Mods carto punch and had the same problems. Dry hits and bad wicking with 50/50 VG/PG.

Was the carto pre-filled before putting into the tank? I never put a dry carto into a tank before filling, it would take even more time for the carto to get primed.

some carto's filler sucks in juice a lot slower then others
maybe try to fill the carto and let it soak it for a longer amount of time, top it of some more and repeat if necessary before putting it in the tank?
