You realize there is no momentary switch. Relaying on those cheap, prone to failure, on-off switches for vaping is a serious shortcoming.
Yeah, I like momentary switches. It would be cool if these lights came with them, but they don't. The whole idea for this mod was to keep it as simple, and as sturdy as possible for better performance. These flashlights are much nicer than those cheap ones that people have been using to make the magnums and detonators. I have a few of those right here in front of me, and they are junk. Nothing like these lights at all.
Sure the switch is similar to the ones on those other flashlights, only it's about 10 times nicer. Go down to Advance Auto Parts and pick one up. I'm sure you'll agree. Sure you could rip it apart and make it momentary, but you're going to lose vape quality. So what's more important, vape quality, or a momentary switch? IMHO, it's vape quality.
You could also add a momentary switch from Radio Shack on the side, but there goes your 18650. It's not going to fit in there after that modification. Another thing, all the soldering involved just leaves you with more things that can go wrong with it. So I felt like this was the way to go.
I'm not, by any means, implying that this is the best mod out there. I'm saying it's the sturdiest of the little multiple LED flashlights that I've seen so far. I personally love this thing. If it's not for you, cool, don't build one. Anyway, happy vaping.
