I've got a couple of the dna 12w's installed in top tubes and really like how it works,

but the new dna 20w has a digital display so I'll see if one will work in a double top tube.

Wow, that's awesome. I can't wait until the VIR. I'm started to get tired of using the kick in my ts. To many connection problems. I was actually going to try and fit the insides of a provari in a top tube since I have an extra. Not quite sure how to do it though.

It'll be much better with your new conductors Billy

Thoroughly clean the inside of the GGTS tube
Clean and add a bit of tension to the Kick's negative contact spring so it makes solid contact to GGTS tube

.....that's where connection issues occur and should solve your problem

Mounting the DNA 12 isn't rocket science; just have to be careful of it's placement in the tube...there is no room for error for the delrin disks that hold the + contacts on each end. You lose the floating center pin function, but that's no big deal since your battery will probably be an 18500.

I want to use the onboard +/- watt adjustment buttons with the DNA20 so that's gonna take a bit of rigging. Another plus for that board is an auto power down when not in use. I really like the battery gauge since I always leave the house with, what I think, is a charged battery, but it dies when I'm a couple of miles down the road. lol
All in all it's a pretty neat electronic gizmo

For anyone looking to install the 20w, it's an easy fit in two tubes

The markout shows where the display and the up/down buttons go. There's plenty of room on both ends and the board slips right into the tube.

I won't be making any extras, but hope this helps anyone who is looking to make one so they know it will work. Nothing is worse than spending 75 bucks on parts only to discover they won't fit.

How does it work with no power running to it with the buttons?

Just thinking out loud.

Jump the switch on the board so it's always closed
Solder the neg atomizer wire to inside of the tube
The pos battery and pos atomizer provide contact through the brass disks mounted in delrin (see the pic for the 12w)
When the GGTS button is pressed the circuit is completed and you have power to the board

Press the GGTS button for power and then press the up/down to adjust the wattage
