New girl from Florida here.. Ordered my first haul from SI

Hello.. 24 yr old girl from South Florida here had a few questions ..

After researching for a few hours i went ahead an ordered a bunch of stuff from Smokeless Image. I am an avid Newport smoker for years and since i started working out/trying to live healthier (if we dont all die tommorow) i want to more than anything quite smoking these damn things! I started myself with the Menthol starter pack, and extra 75 battery with refillable cartos, a couple flavors of the liquid, a boatload of decorative things for the device to make them light up, crystal, sparkly, zebra print all the fancy girly stuff I can't help but like I'm praying this stuff is in by Saturday before I fly to NY for Christmas. I'm so over ciggerettes I don't even want to smoke at all anymore, so turned off by it. My family would be so happy to see me with vapor cigs, I've been smoking far to long for my age!
So I had just a Few questions.. Does anyone know an e liquid that mimics the Newport menthol flavor? I'm trying menthol ice and southern tea menthol flavors from SI but I don't expect them to taste like a Newport.
Also, do I need to use one of the syringes to be able to fill up these cartos? Does anyone have a foul proof way? I'm afraid to burn out these batteries I just dropped a pretty penny on.
and one last question, I am really interested in the X2 batteries with the clearomizers. Is it ok for a noob like me to get the so soon, or should I stick with the starter set and 75mm with cartos for now?

First Welcome to ECF and congratulations on the change. I've never owned anything from Smokeless Image but have heard a lot of good things about them. I got really lucky and found a menthol from a local shop that is called "Nport". A lot of times it's all trial and error. Good luck with your new journey.

SI's Ice Menthol is a very good menthol/tobacco taste, IMO. I bet you will like it. You do not need a syringe to fill the standard cartos from SI - just take the plastic end off, drip in, put the cap back on and go. I recommend refilling during use, and not waiting until the carto is too dry to fill. It will take you a bit to get down when that is, but shouldn't be too tough.

You can go straight to an X2 and use the same cartos as your cig style ones for it. The CE3's, Nanos, are a bit fickle - I have a love/hate with them. Love them when they work, hate them when they leak, break, or are fussy.

I was never a menthol smoker, however I have purchased a few menthol juices from Halo for my father-in-law. They are all great, in my opinion. You might want to try a few samples to see if any taste like Newports to you. As far as SI cartos go, just drip into the filler (not down the center tube) until it looks "slushy" on top. If you overfill, a quick dab with paper towel on the carto's connector will keep that pesky drop from gunking up your battery. I found that gentle, slow draws on SI batteries/cartos make for a great vape.

As an avid Marb Menthold smoker for years, when I switched to vapor and trid the first "menthol" they had, I quickly learned that A: it is nothing like the menthol I was used to; and B: I rather liked the new taste versus the marb menthol. Good luck with it!

I love the SI products. It took me about a week to go from the SI start pack to an x2 battery. Once I figured out the flavors I liked on my second order I picked up an x2 battery, some ce3's, nano's, blanks, and x2 clearo. Now YMMV but my sweet spot was the x2/x2 combo. CE3's hit real nice but I really did not enjoy filling them up with a needle. Nano's were great once you got them broke in a little but they started leaking so I dont use those anymore. My wife however still loves the nano's on the 78MM battery I got on my very first purchase. SI just got in T3's this week and I have an order of those on the way and really curious to see how those work for me. At this point I think I am just over two months analog free and have only used SI products with juice from SI, Alice in Vapeland, and vapedudes. I have a mod sitting in my tackle box waiting for batteries and a vivi nova but I am 100% happy with x2's. I would say if you enjoy vaping and its getting you off analogs go ahead and get an x2 battery with a couple of the SI delivery systems and see what you like. It might turn out to be the 78MM or you might end up liking the clearos only you will be able to decide that. Getting off the analogs is the main goal and understand it take a little time to decide what works best for you. Good luck and hope you have a great trip.

Welcome to the forums... If I had to bet I would say that you will be hooked and off the stinkies in no time. I never started vaping to quit smoking, only to cut down and now I don't even want to taste a real cig.

Welcome to ECF! Glad you made the choice for a healtheir living. If you worked out as a smoker and compare it to working out as a non-smoker, you will realize that you will workout twice as hard just to get tired. It feels great!!!

I started with SI 6 weeks ago and have no regrets. I cannot answer for menthol juice as not my thing. Like you I started with the volt batteries and cartos and immediately moved on to the X2 and the clearomizers. I love the X2 and the clearomizers. I really, really don't like cartomizers and never use them. Give the volt X2 and the clearomizer or their new T3 a try, I think you will find it a great combo.

I used the 78mm bats and cartos for a couple of months. Tried nanos and ce3s but usually just stuck with standard cartos. Once I got my first X2, I used them at home and 78s for out and about. I've just recently started with the X2 clearo, and I'm very impressed. Still I think they are more for home use. My wife does all of the bling in our house...those diamond end caps are only for the stick bats...but you can "dress up" the X2s with wraps.

Get the X2. You will get seriously sick of constantly charging the cig-a-likes every two hours. I got to the point where the first wasn't finished charging when the second would blink...although I vape like a chimney.

Welcome I'm from south Florida as well. I've been of cigs for a week now. I was partial to menthol, camel menthol crushes. I've been using the blu menthol carts only cause I couldn't get anything else as fast down here. They do the job when they actually have juice in them, I ordered some of the strongest menthol flavor from Johnson's creek but haven't gotten it yet. I'm looking to upgrade to a bigger set up as people have mentioned the limitations on the smaller ecigs.

Hi there! congratulations on making the decision to quit smoking. I know that you can do it. I did it after smoking 2-3 pad for 32 years. It took three weeks to stop smoking, with the help of my E-cigs. I just ordered from SI as well and purchased 2 X2's with all the atomizers to see which I liked best. I also had some smaller versions and will use them when I am out and about. Just get rid of your lighters! You can't imagine how many times I tried to light up my bats!

As far as juice, as you have heard from everyone, you won't find an exact match but you will find fun things to try and most will taste better than any menthol cig you ever had. I didn't see how many packs you smoked a day, but that would help to know, somebody could recommend strength of nicotine.

i just started 'eCigs', from new ports, went with a local made menthol (tasted like menthol cough drops, nothing like the cig, but still good/ refreshing), next tried juicy fruit, and its closer to what im looking for. my first day i 'cheated' and did both. 2nd just ecig, 3rd tried a new port, and it WAS NASTY! 4 days later, only eCig still, waiting on a bunch of sample sizes from the web now
I finished a clearomizer in about one day (1.6ml) from about 15 new ports a day. from what i understand, the small (cig look-a-likes SUCK, to small a battery to get a 'real' pull) im using a 650 Ego style with clearomizer, and want to upgrade to the Phoenix cartomizer. using about only 12mg of mic and i understand that as low. Once you start, you will not go back, it just takes time and some playing around to find what works for you. just try and stay away from real cigs, better to vape more then smelly cigs.
