I went through a whole tank of gas parked there starting the car till it warmed up and shutting it off, and still froze. by the time I was able to get out I thought I was going to run out of gas on the way to the gas station. first two days I could not even open my doors cause the snow had come down overnight and was up to my Windows. then a guy came and at least shoveled a path to my door so I could get out.

ROFLMAO! It turns out maybe it wasn't such a bad deal our first flight got cancelled, because the connecting flight is STILL delayed. It was supposed to leave at around 9:30 pm and as of the latest update (since we were checked in we are still getting notifications) they are delayed a further 66 minutes. Fortunately, our new flight is a direct flight, so no stopovers or lay overs. We only have to worry about getting the plane in and out.
