so my kid found a little brown lizard of some sort in my mother-in-laws garage. its getting cold here so he wasnt moving around much and they caught him with no trouble and now my kid wants to keep it for a pet. since the weather is already going south i really dont feel quite right letting it go somewhere cuz it might not do well.
could one of our wonderful reptile experts give me some care instructions? i dont have the foggiest idea what to feed it or anything. we have a small aquarium maybe 3 gal with a mesh lid (i think) that we can reuse to keep it in.
i can take a pic or 2 if that would help. kiddo is really excited about it lol
thanks in advance![]()

No. It's just a defense mechanism. We have tons of those in our yard. They are used to us and will stay right on the porch with us if we're outside. But if they think they're in danger, they will drop their tails. I really don't know what they eat besides the ants and bugs I've seen em eat here in our yard. I wish I could help ya cuz that's cool way for your kids to learn about themhope kitty didnt get indigestion lol
we have been super careful not to play with it or anything so it still has its tail lol i thought only geckos did that....
