New guy, extreme elevation changes and flooding

Hey everyone, ive been over 3 weeks analog free now. I used to smoke 1/2 to 1 pack a day before. I feel better overall and im having fun trying different flavors. Using a MVP2 mop, iclear30 and T3D tanks.

My job requires me to take trips from surface to over 5000ft underground and im having flooding issues with both top-coil and bottom-coil tanks ive used.
Havent tried the T3D yet, but i have tried an iclear 16D bottom-coil and it was worse than my iclear 30 top-coil. While travelling up at about 14mph, im guessing the pressure in the tank escapes through the wicks by pushing fluid through.

If anyone know of any tank that wouldnt be affected id love to hear about it.
So far this is the best i can think of.. its an atomizer with a threaded ring to cover the vent holes

Just about any clearomizer or cartotank will have flooding issues with extreme temperature changes or barometric air pressure changes. The same happens to people who fly or travel to a mountaintop. These tanks all work on the negative pressure system, or vacuum.

With your job requirements, you're kinda stuck to try a different type of juice delivery system. I suggest either "dripping" (either a 510 drip atomizer or a rebuildable drip atomizer). These are not tanks. You'll have to drip a few drops of juice, vape a few vapes, and then drip some more to continue vaping.

Another option might be a bottom feeding box mod like the Reo. This is a mod with a built-in tank system within the mod body. Juice doesn't get fed (backwards dripping) to the atomizer until you "squonk" or press the tank through an opening in the mod body. It is not dependent upon negative pressure to work. I'm not sure how well this would work under your job conditions, but it theoretically would work better than what you are using.

Good info, thanks! Ill be ordering some mega dual coil cartomizers and a RDA tonight or tomorrow.. as soon as i decide on one

I'd suggest trying out the Magma dripper. It has quite a big juice well so it's almost like a mini tank. With magma you don't have to drip as often as with regular drippers. Apparently magma is about the best dripper for pure taste aswell.
(I dont own one yet, i've ordered one though!)

Try a few things while waiting for the new toy(s). We often go over the pass from 3,000’ to 10,000’ and drop down to 7,000’, spend the day there and then reverse coming home. (I’d forgotten everything I learned last year doing this so had to learn again.) Last time we went my bottom feeder that was full didn’t leak going over but kept flooding coming back when it was less than half full. Also I think people have suggested turning it upside down while ascending/descending. Then again, since you’re in an elevator, remove the tank for the ride, release the pressure in it when you leave the elevator by unscrewing the base a bit, reassemble and vape on.

Thanks again for all the info, I've been reading a lot and watching youtube. Turning upside down didn't help me much, probably as it moves around too much in my pocket.

I ordered an igo-w, a Mini RDA w/3 small holes and over 150' of 32g kanthal. This is all new to me, I know the igo is nothing special but I'll probably use it until a 1:1 Veritas clone is available.

I think the Veritas with its very spill resistant design might work great for me but I'd rather try a clone first... Simply for the exponential price difference
