Hey guys.

Brand new to the vaping world, got just a few weeks ago. I got into it in a strange way though... it was my wife who is the ex-smoker, and wanted to get started with e-cigs. Happy to help her quit cigarettes, I got her the Smokeless Image Volt kit after doing a bit of research on brands and such, but she also convinced me to get a kit of my own, even though I've never smoked. She knew I wouldn't be interested in anything with nicotine, but said that the non-nic liquids themselves would be something I'd like... and she was actually right. I'm now sharing something new with my wife, as well as helping encourage her to stay off the old cigs, plus I'm enjoying the flavors. I'm currently vaping tasty Vapor stuff... mostly the Kretek and the Almond Horn.

This leads me to the thanks... if it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't have gotten half the information I did when making a decision on what juices to get, what brand of Kr808d-1 model to get, and how to keep up with maintenance. GrimmGreen's YouTube videos were also great, but I learned a lot just reading what you guys posted up on the forums. I also am currently reading that huge thread on burning cartomizers... I've burned a couple of mine recently and wanted some more info on how to prevent that and if there were some better kr808 carts to get. That thead has really been helping me with that.

So yeah, just had to finally join in, and had to say thanks for all the information you guys have been posting up. I hope I'll soon be able to add to that. :)

Welcome to the site Sword. As far as 808s go, you've probably got the best of the lot. I hope you did get the 78mm rather than 65s though. As far as burning cartos, I've burned more than a few myself. I'm currently vaping V2 while I wait on my E-power to come in. Best advice, when you notice the flavor and/or vapor going away on the carto, it's time to replace (if you're using prefills) or top off (if you're using liquids).

Thanks a lot for the welcome guys. :)

Reidus: yep, I definitely got the 78mm batteries. With the way my wife used to go through cigarettes, I knew it would be a waste of time getting the 65mm, and I knew I would get annoyed with a short battery life. I do have to return one of mine for a replacement though... it's cutting off at 5 seconds, and the other one is cutting off at 8 seconds. Not cool. Oh, and on the cartomizers, I learned quickly from this place that you have to keep those things wet, and once they start tasting burnt, it's pretty much time to toss them. I've noticed however that a couple of the blank kanger's I got started to taste burnt after my first refill. Could be my fault, but not sure.

NotElvis: Already in the plans. :)

Hi and welcome to ECF. The first fill of the Cartomizer is VERY important. On my IPhone right now but if you google "PBusardo filling Boge Cartos" you'll find a YouTube vid that's shows how to first fill a carto properly. Prolly 9 times out of 10 the improper first fill is the reason for a burnt carto.
Happy Vaping.
