I would like some advice from people with more experiance than I.
To start off I was a pack and a half a day smoker, I am down to 4 ciggarettes a day.
I have been useing a blucig kit for 1 month.
I have gone threw many prefilled carts and started refilling with johnsons creak juice.
I have had many problems with the cats not producing consistant vapor or tasting burnt or not working at all.
When this occors is when I get discusted and fire up a regular smoke.
I work on cars for a living and I am accustom to having a ciggarette hanging out of my mouth while I work so the giant units wont work well for me, not at work anyway.

What would you guys and gals reccomend for me?
Is there better carts I can get?
Should I switch to a diffrent system?
Should I use two units? one for home and one for work?
Any advice is welcome.
I am use to spending $10 a day on cigarettes so I am willing to spend some $ if it works right and keeps me from smoking.
Thanks again for any help.
I look forward to contributing to the forum with what I learn along the way,

Well Stryfox sound like you went about the same route I did. Yes I was buying carts then went to Johson creek, then to Halo to fill them. Batt life and hits killed me and that is how I eneded up here. I also used to have a cig "hanging" from my mouth. I found I could do that with the smaller units but it was not the same. My teeth started to hurt since they are heavier and that damned metal carto was not to easy to bite down on. I went to a manual batt Joye 510 and hits became better but batt life still sucked. I was a 1.5PAD smoker so I vape pretty heavy too. If you are willing to give up the "need to have it hanging" from your mouth then the eGo/Riva was the next step in my progression. It is a good unit and paired with a boge LR carto it can hit for a good long time. When you are not working you can slap an atty on it and drip away. A Riva kit is dirt cheap and works really well see link below and hit 20% off coupon to get it for around $25. From there it was on to mod's and I will be damned if I could hold on to one of those between my lips without hands.

I totally agree with the path that liv2ski suggests, I did the same then from the eGo went to a Provari, then a juice fed, the Ali'i adn then the Reo. All are excellent PV's.

Right and it does not stop does it JWebb. Waiting for the JCMODtronics, Eclipse etc.etc. but what the hell we would have spent the cash on smokes anyway and now we have a cool collection of toys!!!

would the joye 510 be a good upgrade for me? or is it just a step sideways?
Are the 510 cartons better than the blucig ones?

stryfox, im a newbie too so not sure how you will value my opinion but here goes. My husband is a mechanic and he does the same thing with the cig hanging out while hes pulling apart an engine or under a car. we got the v4l cigs and he loves them. the short dont have as much battery life but they do last him about half a day. so while hes at work he uses the short then switches to the regular one. one cartridge will last him all day. we havent tried the other models so not sure whats best. hope this helps

The above recommendations for larger battery units are valid but don't meet your slim requirements. The V4L is a good option and the offerings from Bloog and VaporNine both have excellent cartos as well. Smokelessimage has some less expensive kits, but the cartos aren't quite on par with those from Bloog and VaporNine. All of these are KR808D-1 models, so they're interchangeable and generally a better vape than a standard 510. Battery life in any of these is going to pale in comparison to an eGo/Riva or a mod, but being able to hang one out of your mouth like a cigarette is great sometimes.

Stryfox the 510 would give a better hit but since you are really looking for something to hang out of your mouth while working you are pretty much stuck with a auto batt and carto. The smaller batts can not drive the Low Resistance cartos and that is where you will get huge vapor and most likely be able to put those last four smokes away. As ribbitrn says the V4l is a good choice and there are some folks here that really like them. I have never used them and as far as pen style auto auto batts I have not hit one for about 8 months. The KR808d also has a big fan base for the penstyle batts. Sorry but I do not have any real knowledge on that model so I will defer to someone with more expertise. For home use though give the Riva a try you may find you end up with it in your pocket at work too. Sorry I could not be more help and hopefully someone with better knowledge on the smaller batts can chime in and point you in the right direction.

I want to thank all of you for your help and suggestions.
I think I would be willing to try a larger ego unit for hanging out a home. It can't feel much different than a cigar.
As far as the pen style goes are there better refillable cartridges that fit the blue (88) style batteries?
If not I will look into the 501 and 808 style batteries so I can get good cartridges that can be filled more than once without malfunctioning. When the blu works it is good. I just keep burning up the carts and they are inconsistent.
Thanks again for all the help.
My wife actually was a lighter smoker than me. She smoked just under a pack of ultra lights a day.
She has no comPlaints about the blus so far. She is one month with no paper cigarettes.
I am proud of her and I refuse to give up. I can do this. :2cool:

Not to put too fine a point on it, but "pen-style" typically refers to 801 type devices, which will not fit your Blu - it would be refered to as a mini. 510 cartomizers should fit the Blu. Check out the Blu subforum, there you'll users with lots of knowledge of Blu.

I have done lots of reading and I think I am stating to figure out your language. lol
I think I am going to try a joye 510 for around the house. I figure I'll get some atomizers and blank cartomizers.
Two questions, one should I order a tank too?
Two, will the 510 cartomizers fit my blucig batteries or should I order a standard 510 battery too to have a pen style?
