I can't post a link to what the MILANO looks like as i'm a newbie, but its basically white, with a pull off filter thing, which also unscrews as well to charge. The first one seems to have charged fine overnight, have tested by drawing on it to make the red glow appear, but the other one i'm not getting the glowing end, so i'm not sure if i have a faulty one. May have to send that one back, as it should have charged by now, as other one has.

it looks like a 2-piece to me.

Milano E-Cigarette

Electronic Cigarette - Milano Electric Cigarette - Only £22.99! UK

after further reading, the one site says:

"Each electric cigarette contains an atomised refill cartridge that lasts up to the equivalent of 20 to 30 normal cigarettes. You get 3 atomised refill cartridges with each cigarette you buy, but you can also buy the cartridges individually from us when you run out. "

That would sound like a cartomizer to me, right? "atomised refill cartridge"

Attached a similar pic from your link.
Had a quick look at your link & ok i think mine comes under the 'mini e ciggarette' type. It has little metal thing sticking up when you pull off the top, but i just don't see how to get the cartridge in, there is no 'hole' as such to put it in?! sorry to be a pain!

The top you're pulling off is the cartridge, I think? hmmm

Thanks i think i've sussed it! i was thinking you had to keep the original top thing on! i didn't realise that you swap it, & the cartridge becomes the filter so to speak. IYKWIM

have had a puff, & the taste is coming through a bit & a little bit sweet, (med strength) but hardly any vapour, does that sound right?

Will definately have to send the other one back though, no indicator light on that one at all.

ok, now i have a problem, the indicator light is flashing when i take a puff, even though i charged it overnight. There is NO vapour at all. At this rate i'll be sending it back & giving up :( Help!

Well, best of luck with the Milano. As was mentioned, this model is generally considered one of the low-rent not-great ecigs, marketed to desperate smokers that fall for the number-of-analogs-in-a-cart numbers. Those numbers are meaningless, and generally very inflated. The batts tend to die quickly, and the attys are very weak. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately it sounds like this is what you are experiencing.

I would try to get your money back and invest in a better model, after doing some research here. It will likely cost less than the Milano too, so in the long run you will be ahead of the game. Models that have a strong following here are:

510
901
801
KR808D-1

I use a 510, absolutely love it, and it is a model that is good immediately, but can be made a whole lot better with a little modifying. It is a 3-piece, like the Milano, but far better quality, and cheaper! The kr808d-1 is a 2-piece batt/cartomizer model that also has rave reviews here, and would be more convenient that the 3-piece, as you don't worry about the atty...its in the cart.

But I advice researching here some before making a decision. The one good thing about those commonly fallen-for "Mall" brands is they teach you what you would really want in a real PV.

Good luck, and welcome! Please feel free to ask us about any model you may be interested in.

Thanks Kurt, that was really useful.

Saying that i have just discovered that i didn't charge it properly, i was meant to screw it in, i didn't want to force it as i didn't know what i was doing, (useless instructions!) so i just pushed the battery in & left it. I know- i am dumb!
But anyway, going to give it another go charging tonight & see where we go from there.
But i will bear in mind your recomendations for other models if i'm not successful

Quick question- With the model i have do i have to 'clean' it out etc, like i've noticed others seem to do, it doesn't say anything on the instructions about this.
And if so, what seems to be the quick & easy way to do this?

Thanks again :)
