hey vapers, im new here but been vaping for the past 8 months. i was analog free for about 3 months when i first got my 510 kit which i replaced with an ego right away. i was having a bad week and bought a pack of analogs a few months back, since then i haven't been able to stop analogs AGAIN. i haven't been satisfied with the vape i have been getting using an ego-t type b tank(no surprise i bet). so to help me kick my analog habit for good again i bought the mother of all PV's, PROVARI order placed today. i will be ordering a few new gadgets to go with the provari in search of that perfect vape. this forum has been very helpful and i can't send out enough thanks to all the members!

Welcome! Provari - nice choice.

Some no-cigarette suggestions

1. Leave an ecig set up all night with a cartomizer. Late night I make sure all my day stuff is charging and I actually set up 2 overnight ecigs I vape until bed and vape as soon as I get up. Wehn I leave for work I put the overnight cigs on the home charger.

2. For your "emergency" cigs, buy a brand you do not even like and lock them in the trunk of your car with a lighter. If you can stay away from cigs, your sense of smell and taste will come back and cigs will taste awful, their true taste. And you can get the 4000 chemicals out of your body, including at least one that makes nicotine more addictive.

3. Try more juices and remember to smell the vapor. If any juice flavor gives you analog cravings, then don't vape that juice

4. Try cartomizers if you have no (Boge are simplest and most popular and I use thin juices in them - 20% or less VG). Lets you keep flavors totally separate and switch quickly between them. I use 2 contrasting flavors.

5. If you are vaping tobacco flavors, try adding some chocolate or cocoa eliquid. Most US cigs have cocoa in them

dormouse thank you for the tips and taking the time out of your day to reply to my thread! I was able to kick them before and i hope that the VV will help me get the most out of my juices. I have been DIY'ing my juices since day one, but haven't had much variety away from fruit flavors. I had a vaporbomb chocolate i added menthol to that i loved but haven't found a chocolate flavoring to buy. I really hate to order premade juice cause in my experience they never seem quite right. Either too little flavor or just completely off from what i was expecting. I'm very content with satisfying my taste buds making my own, i just need more flavors in my lineup. I wish more vendors carried everything i needed at one spot, i would buy more gear if i didn't have shipping on three different orders.

I'm looking for batteries, 18650 aw imr (or equivalent) and a charger to go with the provari. If anyone has a spot to source them i would love to hear it, so many internet companies scare me when it comes to ordering genuine components. I'm starting to kick myself for not getting them from provape, but the price of everything together was pretty scary. ha ha
thanks for reading if you got this far.

Welcome to ECF! You are going to love the Provari! My wife and I used to use ego-t type B but then we found XL clearomisers. Clean them once a week, open up the wick slots and replace the tube with the syringe mod and they last for ever and cost pennies. Well worth a try if you are searching, with the little TLC mentioned above they give an awesome vape, so much more flavour than the ego-t :thumb:

WomanOfHeart, thanks for the links. I may be able to get away with ordering all the things i need from superT. I see they have more than a few choices on batteries. 2900mAh, 2600mAh, and the imr 1600mAh. Does anyone have input on any of these batteries and the provari? They look like flat tops and would need a spacer/magnet to make them work. I know provape has a new battery coming out soon but not soon enough, i want to be ready when it arrives(like a lil spoiled brat i know).

Olef, thanks for the input! Hearing how much you enjoy the provari over the exact setup I'm replacing is reassuring on the money i spent. I hope i can find a good combo i can live with, im looking at the gotvapes pump cart and a regular 510 atty to start off. I like everything about dripping except the dripping part, if the type-b had flavor it would be great as they have been kind to me. I've been stuck on cinnamon cause its such a powerful flavoring that still taste "ok" in the ego-t. clearomizers, sapphire bud hybrid, and about every option gotvapes offers will be ordered soon. I really want to quit analogs!

sahilm, thanks for the words of advice. I will be trying every and all combo's possible to get the vape experience perfect for me. I think VV is the key to true bliss and i will find out soon.

One more thing i forgot to say about that "other" chemical in analogs that has me by the b*lls, and i know its not nicotine. Like i had mentioned in the OP about quitting for a few months, i was fine without my vape for hours. For a while there vaping was something that i did only when driving or playing video games. I never took it with me to the store, never check my pockets 5 times before i leave for my pack and lighter. That other chemical that makes either nicotine more addictive, or is addictive on its own sucks. I can't wait for my proari to show up, I've been a pack-a-day guy for about 15 years and must get back my health.

lunchbox0, I had the same experiences that you did. Started with a 510 anolog look-a-like and totally quit the stinkys. Then switched to a Ego-t, and after a very stressful day, I bought a pack of anologs and really struggled with totally quiting again. That was until I bought my Provari. I also bought a tank setup and haven't looked back. As for e-juice's, I have never tried DIY, but have found a vendor that totally meets my needs. IMO, Vermillion River is worth a shot if you ever decide to try a quality e-juice vendor. Also, for your battery and charger needs, I agree with WomanOHeart. Electronic Cigarettes and AW batteries by Super T is a really good vendor.

thanks horseman, hearing things like that keep me positive i haven't experienced everything vaping has to offer. I hope the provari kicks ash! ha ha

ksmith, That is the story i hope to tell, im sure i will quit the analogs when i get lots of flavor and vapor. I have been looking at the many tank options out there but haven't decided on one yet. I really like the look of the porvari with the stainless or aluminum MAP/Liquinator tank, and them accepting cart's is a huge plus. I never really understood why the carts were cheaper than an atomizer, only from a marketing standpoint can that be explained. As for the juice company i will try them out if i ever order pre-made, now with a provari i can try to dial in the voltage for flavoring instead of adding more. i have a feeling im going to be in heaven when i get the provari! I'm very excite!

Hi GiddyLydia, i DIY my juices and have settled at about 18mg. Anything more and i can't take the TH to get the nicotine i need. At 18mg im able to chain vape to my hearts content, and i find it more pleasurable with less TH. I started out with around 26mg on my first order of juice and choked all day. I cut it with VG till i liked it, ended up almost in half with less flavor obviously. So i added flavor i picked up in town and realized how easy it was to make it how i wanted.

lunchbox0, I have two of the maptanks and two of JonBoyUSMC's first edition tanks. All 4 of mine use the CE2 cartomizers and I have had great success with them. I really like the flavor that I get from the CE2's. I have had the typical leaking/flooding issues with the maptanks when they are laid on their sides, but have never had any problem with the JonBoyUSMC tanks. Jon is making a 2nd edition tank and gives 3 options - regular cartos, xl cartos, or CE2's. The craftsmanship of these tanks is top notch, however they do cost a little more. Here is a link, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...lier-forum/178535-jonboyusmcs-lava-tanks.html.

My story is similar to the op, i started vaping last July and gave up on it with my 510 kit after a couple months. It just wasn't doing it for me. Then I decided to get back into vaping again and got a provari. It is awesome your going to love it. Currently I use it with a GotVapes.com vision duex with boba's bounty from avejuice.com. Ill never smoke an analog again.

Congrats on coming back. You're going to love the ProVari. Adjustable voltage really helps you dial in the flavour and throat hit you're after -- atty/carto/tanko permitting, of course. I'm a higher nic user (24mg) but I love the ability to set the voltage (per the carto's resistance anyway) to where it works best for the juice I'm using. I like a strong TH so I can punch it up to the max (whoa, that sounded like 80s slang; gnarly) and get that nice warm vape with a good kick that I need. But if you need less TH, just dial it down and you're good.

STick with higher resistance attachments though; something in the 2.5-3.0 range or so, so as to be able to benefit from the full range of voltage levels and wattage output so you can best tune the experience to your own preferences.

ksmith, thanks for the link and info on jonboyUSMC's tank. My first tank will be an liquinator, cause i have seen so many reviews on boge cartos. Only problem seems to find a tank from jonboy for sale, he listed some tonight and sold out in minutes.

jamezelle, that's the story i want to tell! I hope the provari will hurry! It hasn't even been one business day and im dying to get it. I will order a few goodies from the guys at gotvapes cause they seem to be popular with a lot of people. thanks for the insight!

mindfield, oh man i can't wait to "punch it up to the max!" i wore spandex in the 80's too. ha ha It seems that the wait really isn't 2 weeks as the site says. Following the thread about order numbers an such, it seems like people are getting them a few days after ordering. All that to say i hope i get it this week. I will be posting my results when it arrives.

They were having a problem initially with the company that does the plating on the black chrome models so those were being held up. Mine (satin silver) said the wait time was "two weeks or less" but I ended up getting it in a little over a week, which was awesome. So yeah, wait times can vary all over the place depending on how they're backed up and why, but so far they've been busting their humps to get units out the door, and have yet to disappoint.

The button clicking takes a bit of getting used to, but I memorized the button presses to get to the various modes within a day or two, so not a big deal, and figuring out voltage to set from your carto/atty ohms is easy. Either do the Ohms law calculations, or just bump it up 'til you start getting E2 errors, then you know you've gotta back it off. :)

mindfield, do you run your provari near the amp limit? I guess that is the only draw back to the provari is the ~2.5A limit, but understand from an engineering point of view that it is there for a reason. I also ordered a regular finish unit, i would have liked the black but man the total was killing me. I think i seen somewhere that provape was going to offer more compact models in variable voltage. If so i will get one of those in the compact flashy flash style for when i go out.

At the moment I do, but that's only because I don't have any higher resistance cartos to use.

But keep in mind it isn't so much the amperage as the wattage you can get out of those amps. LR atties will draw more amps and put out fewer watts than higher resistance atties, which will draw fewer amps and put out more watts.

For example: a 1.5ohm carto @ 4.0V is just a about 2.6A (the ProVari can handle that, but that's its limit) but only puts out around 10W. On the other hand, a 2.4ohm carto @ 6V is 2.5A and puts out 15W.
