Hey guys,
I have never used an e-cig before but one of my friends got the blu recently and quit smoking analogs so I ordered one too. About an hour later I found this forum and the overwhelming amount of information has left me in need of advice.

I decided not to cancel the blu cig because I figure I can use it when I want something close to an analog to use in certain public situations and the new cartomizer they are using seems interesting.
BUT now I know that I will need something more serious if I am going to fully replace analogs with e-cigs.

I have decided to buy a Joye eGo and that is only because it is the model I hear talked about the most here, I am not really sure that it is the best for me but it is overwhelming trying to read through these forums and sort through opinions, dripping methods, cartomizers, atomizers, foam, TH? etc.

Now for the advice part:
Where is the best place to buy the eGo from? Price is most important to me but I also hate places that don't ship things within 1-2 business days. I also would like to get into DIY liquid so a place that sells that too would be optimal.

What accessories should i buy with the eGo? I see things called drip tips which I'm assuming are the best if you use DIY liquid? I see youtube videos of people refilling eGo cartomizers with a needle or the condom method but the eGo kit I'm looking at uses an atomizer with a separate cartridge and not a cartomizer, do I need to buy some separate cartomizers or something? What are the pros and cons of using a drip tip vs cartomizer dripping?

Does anyone know of a good guide or video for a beginner and DIY liquid? I'm sure I can find one myself but being a total noob I would rather use a guide that is recommended by someone who knows what they are doing.

Sorry for blasting a million questions at you guys on my very first post, thanks in advance for your answers! If you have any other advice or info that you think would be useful to me please let me know I want to know all I can about vaping and e-cigs!

I only have experience with a single unit the eGo-T ( tank system )

So listen to what others tell you.

I really didn’t need much other than the kit ( although I did get some other stuff )

The kit I got had
2 650 mah batteries
2 eGo-T atomizers
5 tanks ( mouthpieces ) and they are re-usable
1 usb charger cord
1 power plug with USB connection
2 button protectors which I never use

The main thing that is missing is the juice to put in the tanks

I get mine from BlueMist Vaping but there are lots and lots of places to get juice from.

I don’t know if it is the tank system ( no carts ) you are interested in or not, but the kit will do it, if you get some juice to go with it.

I have bought some other stuff in the last few weeks

2 spare atomizers ( have not needed them yet )
1 large 1000mah battery which has become my main battery
1 zipper case to carry stuff in ( cause the box was kind of big )
10 extra tanks
Lots of different Juice, but I have found a menthol juice that I like a lot and am now vaping mostly that.

Please post again, you can learn a lot, and If you get something either like mine, or different from mine, I would love to know what your experience is with it as I am now interested in every new persons perspective.

A lot depends on your smoking habits though... you may want to check out DonDaBoomVape's 6 part series "the wonderful world of vaping": The ECF Library

Also, if you smoke more than about 3/4 pack a day you'll likely want the eGo or the Elegant Easy, but if you smoke closer to 1/2 a pack per day you'll do well with either a standard (or XL) 510 or the KR808D-1.

I just got an ego from indyvaporshop.com. i actually goto the guys store in town.i would look up a local place to ask your questions and talk to someone who sells them.Mike at Indyvapor explained everything to me and was very nice to talk to.i would say to get one, they work very well.Dripping is the way to go, although i am waiting to get a tank for mine so i can reduce the times i have to drip!

I have a joye ego and love it. I bought it from Liberty Flights because of the price and because of the warranty. (2 mos. attys, 6 months batteries). As I just posted in another thread, I've already gone through one battery, one pass-thru and 3 attys in just two months. If I had to repurchase them, I'd spend another $68.00. This is for two people, and multiple vendors. So check warranty info.

I purchased the ego then purchased the Ego-t (tank) atomizers and tanks. You can just go with the Ego-T and buy some cartomizers to go with it. I prefer that over atty/carts. Less fuss, last longer. That way you can use the tank or the cart.

I have dealt with Liberty Flights, Vapor 4 Life, LiteCig USA, CigNot, Ikenvape, Nhaler and can't say a bad thing about any of these companies. All have great prices and customer service.

If you are just starting out, I would go with the regular eGo system and skip the T until you find out if it something you can use. I got mine from LitecigUSA, but I think they are out of stock right now. It's my understanding that the T is a little more advanced system and opinions have varied wildly on the satisfaction rating of those who have purchased it. The eGo is a very solid unit, and offers better battery life over the 510 models. Plus parts availability is good from a wide variety of places.

You'll want to get a kit with 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, and a charger. The tips can be refilled with whatever juice you decide to order. I would recommend getting a couple of bottles of juice so you will have time to order more and not worry about shipping times.

You may want to also order a couple of extra atomizers, but with 2 on hand, if one goes out you can probably make it through until you can get another one ordered and delivered.

As for the drip tip, it is a convenience feature if (when) you decided to try dripping directly into the atomizer instead of using a cartridge. It is not a necessity as you can just pull the cartridge cap off and drip, but drip tips are usually pretty cheap and everyone tries dripping at some point. Better throat hit and vapor are the advantages.

Enjoy your new kit, and welcome to the world of vaping!

Yes, the 510 tanks will fit on your standard 510 atomizer (I'll be trying them soon I hope) and so will work on the eGo battery as long as you have the standard (or LR) atomizer to put on there - they won't work with the eGo-T tank system atomizer though.

As for what I prefer to use with my eGo batts: I like drip tips (only at home), cartomizers (though, I quit using them a while ago because I'm too bumbling and always end up burning mine), clearomizers are ok if you use the right juice in them (tons of vapor, flavor, and TH).

I have yet to try the map tanks, 510 tanks on a 510 atomizer, or vapemate -- all of which sound promising (though I hear reports of the map tank leaking, that's a no-no).

DonDaBoomVapes Part 6 has been updated to include the newer models of e-cigs. I agree that it is an excellent resource for newbies. It can be found here:
