Alright, so first off hello all! I hope to be an active and helpful member of this community as I get more versed in the world of vaping! With that said, I'm having some problems....

I started out vaping with an Evod pen vape, cheap but I had to test it out, and I loved it! Cut down on cigarette smoking drastically within the first few days. Well, I was feeling so good I decided to go out and get a bigger, better vape setup. Then the problems started...

The Mod I got is a Dovpo Executive 5.0, I will include pictures of everything with this post. The mod itself... nice. Has temp control, battery life, and ohms all on a neat digital display, and I love the feeling of it in my hand. The tank I bought with it is a Vision MK... From my eye, pretty darn good but I'm new and the vape shop had so much cool looking stuff... xD

Well firstly, it doesn't seem to hit anywhere near the level of the old Evod. With the Evod it felt as though I was emulating a cig, a big reason my smoking went down in my opinion. Also, after filling the tank and letting it sit awhile, when I go to vape the fluid pops, to the point where I get nervous hitting it until I let it stay on a few times (no more than a few seconds each turn on). There are no errors on the display, and I have changed my coil head (I think? There was an extra in the box my tank came in), and still no change. I'm beginning to think maybe my tank isn't compatible with this mod, or I'm just plain doing something wrong. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, I'll watch this post avidly and provide any extra information. And here is the pics of the setup I got

My initial thought is everything is working as intended. Your tank is a Sub Ohm tank that is using .2 ohm coils. Sub ohm tanks generally run a lot hotter than the higher resistance coils you were used to.

I am in much the same position as you going from ego style batteries with aspire k1 tanks to a Pressa 75w TC mod with a crown sub ohm tank. I find the sub ohm is much hotter than I would like, so am trying out the rebuild-able deck on it.

Sadly I don't think your tank has a RBA section available, or I would suggest trying to build a higher resistance coil if the heat is too much for you.

What I did was to use my Aspire K1 tank on my new mod at around 4.2 volts/10.5 watts as it came with a 510 to EGO adapter to keep me happy vaping while I experiment / tweak things with the new tank. You Evod tank its nearly the same as my Aspire K1, so if you have or can order an adapter, this might work for you also. I found the old Aspire to work even better on my new mod than on the ego style battery simply because the power could be adjusted, and I can run the little tank on it for over a week before it needs a charge. I wouldn't try to run the little tanks higher than 20 watts or 4.8 volts. Step it up slowly if you want/need to till you find the sweet spot.

Sub ohm vaping just is not everyone's cup of tea, but if it is simply the crackle that's worrying you, I would suggest watching some reviews of your tank on youtube to see if they sound like yours. Pretty sure it is normal, you could try lowering the wattage/power/temperature to decrease the crackling, providing the end result still gives you enough vapor production.

I hope this helps, and good luck!
