Hey all, been vaping over a year now. Cigarette free. After much research and trial and error I settled on a Reos mod bottom feeder with boge cartomizers and ejuice from Mt Bakers. Could never seem to get atomizers to work properly, but I just ordered another one to try out. Thanks!

Hiya arnelberg - good choice! Once you get 5 posts up here you can post in the Reo subfourm - they are a really good bunch there:
Reos Mods

With the atomizer - if its dry hits you need to give it a squonk. I have a Reo on its way to me now. :) Liquid feed is such a blast.

I noticed you said you use Boge cartos. They are ok - but they are a vertical coil. For a bottom feed mod I find bottom coil cartos are much better - Kanger make bottom coil 510 cartomizers. They are brilliant for liquid feed mods. When you squonk the juice the whole coil is wet because its all at the bottom of the carto - so no burning filler like you can get with a vertical coil.

Yeah, I'm shamelessly building up my posts here so I can PM the Reosmod guy for a new order :) Saw he was selling brass doors. Would look great on my mod!

The thing with atomizers for me is it just spits hot juice in my mouth and I get zero vapor. I tried several different ones, from the generic ones sold on REOS site (joytech and smoke tech i think) to the highly regarded and more expensive ones like the HH.357, same result, just spits hot fluid. Cartomizers at least give me vapor plus I can fill the cartridge so I don't have to sqounk every few puffs.

Ah. I haven't had the juice spitting thing happen. Possibly you are over squonking and there's too much juice there. I do recommend trying the Kanger cartos - and they can be modded to act like an atomizer too. See this video - you just pull out the filler basically. The ones on this vid are 808 bottom coil cartos but internals are like the Kanger 510s:

I think you really should get a Reomizer or a dripper.

Maybe you could get packs or premade wick-wire to help recoil.

Seems such a pity to have a reo and stick a carto on it.

I will definitely check out those Kanger cartos. In the meantime I have a AVA thermovape atty on the way, going to give atomizers another shot.

Good one - yeah, I like the Kangers. Check out the Reo forum arnelberg - on squonking, atties and so on. If you have any questions the Reonauts are quick to help there.
