I've been a loyal Triton user for about a year now and I would love to see some new hardware coming out. Will there ever be glass tanks with dual coils? How about a vv battery with led indicator that changes color when the battery is getting low? Halo needs to step it up. I would hate to "upgrade" to another company for more options. Hope this is the right forum to post this in.

Hi Danny I'm getting close to my year mark as well. I started with the G6 then onto the Triton. I would love to see glass tanks and LCD screens on the VV. We were teased awhile back about new hardware being tested so I'm being patiently excited waiting to see what they have. :)

the outer threads are the same as ego threads, but the connector as a whole isn't ego compatible. it's called a vgo connector, and no one uses it because everything is either ego or 510.

Bingo. They are eGo threaded but the inner post will not make contact with other devices that do not have a floating (spring loaded) center pin. Halo hardware and ejuice is great, but their proprietary business model makes many including myself eventually move onto more universal products. If Halo wants to stay relevant in the industry, they're past due for a re-design.

I would love to see a VV/VW, LED/OLED screen with battery life indicator, ohm reader, automatic, Triton V2.0. Glass tanks (they taste better) w/interchangeable drip tips, maybe BDC... but Halo style.

I might have just described what has been on the market for years.

Can't wait to see what Halo has for new stuff. Part of me wants some more modern, upgrade, updated stuff!!!! LED screen would be awesome and of course, more compatible connectors like 510.

With that said, I have 3 VV batts that are now over 1 yrs old (ok, lied, one will be 3 yrs in Jan). ALL of them still work so quality wise, I'm happy with what Ive got compared with a lot of crap gear I read about that don't work like after 2-3 months.

So new hardware, yes but same quality too! Oh...and anything deep metallic purple would be a bonus, just sayin.

The rubbery coating on my Triton wore off as well, so perhaps a better coating process would be nice.

I'm actually amazed at how well the coating stays on. I have several batteries over a year old, and all but one are in great shape. I suspect that some kind of solvent or oil got on the one that lost some of the coating, because I've tried to remove the rest of it so it would be all-chrome, but I can't get the rest of it off short of extreme mechanical means.

I totally agree. A Black and a Blu VV bats, heavily used for 14 months. Just a few little scratches. The black has only grain of sand sized specs, the blue has a few larger scratches. And the plating on the chrome opposite of the fire button has a nice patina. I also have a different brand of ego twist and it is really scratched up at only 5 months. Had to slap a Jwrap on it.

Note: putting these batteries in your pocket with keys and tools will scratch it up quick!!!

Same here, all but one of my rubber coated Tritons are in perfect condition after a year. The Iridescence finish hasn't held up as well.

Have you tried wet sanding it? Fine grit sandpaper + water, then a buffing compound + towel for scratches.

I have no problem recommending Halo starter kits to newbies. Quality is clearly better than other less expensive eGo-class starter kits.

I quit analogs with the Triton, and I've watched friends and relatives do the same, so I'll always have a soft-spot for them.

BUT C'MON HALO!!! STAINLESS AND GLASS PLEASE!!! IT'S ALMOST 2015 ALREADY!!!

I have an Iridescent that's also a year old that I've used daily, and it certainly has alot of micro scratches, but it still looks good. This is my "go out" battery, so it's very intimate with my keys and my aluminum shifter. In the right light, the scratches actually give it a glittery appearance.

As far as the other rubber coated, no, it's not that important to me, it's a use at home and I'm not that concerned about the appearance of a battery that is 16 months old. I'm trying to just kill it but I can't!
