I have a question for those of you who know your batteries.

I am currently using a NCR18650PD 2900mah 10A in my Hana v2.

I was browsing around and nothing these Sony VTC4 2000mah 30A batteries.

Which battery would be better for the Hana? The NCR18650PD or the Sony VTC4?

From what i read ( at the time ) I believe the best battery to use was the NCR but then again i read this awhile ago. I am wondering will the Sony be any better? worse? or the same?

Thanks
In my opinion your are using the better of the two for your application

Wow, hana modz just released a V3 of the full size version with a DNA30 chip! Can't wait until they make the mini with DNA30 or maybe they'll let me send mine in for them to upgrade the chip. I read that it's pretty much identical to the 20 so hopefully they'll offer an upgrade for a good price.

Well i am first in line on getting the new Mini, Once there released i will post and let everyone know if there DNA20s or 30s...

In all honesty, I hardly ever go as high as 20watts BUT i do see there is another difference, the DNA30 will now go as low as .3 Ohms! That should be pretty nice for some

Looks like we'll both be stopping by Hana Modz when they release the Mini. :toast: I just got off the phone with Trent not too long ago. Another nice feature of the DNA 30 is the power locked mode so you can lock in the power settings so you can't accidently change them.

If you're handy enough you can also just replace the DNA 20 chip with a DNA 30 if you don't want to purchase a whole new device. I'm contemplating that option since I wouldn't use my DNA 20 device anymore once I have the 30. I'm really comfortable with soldering and electronics so I may just give this a go myself.

My only issue with that would be voiding the warranty ( if its still within its warranty stage )

I probably won't even go near 30 watts but having the option is really cool though! lol I think i am more impressed with the fact it can go as low as .3 ohms

Yeah, It will definitely void the warranty but if can just repair everything myself then I don't mind. I don't even know how long the warranty is either, it's not listed on their site. Also, I was looking at the specs on the DNA 30 on the evolv site and it states it can only go down to .5 ohms. Anything lower would probably just be un-regulated like the way the DNA 20 works.

My original plan anyway was to purchase an extra DNA 20 chip just in case something happens, I can just swap it out myself when my warranty is over. Now looks like I can just wait on when my warranty is over then just swap it out to a DNA 30 later. After thinking about it I'm really in no rush to have 30 watts since I don't do a lot of sub-ohming but it will definitely be nice to have for when I do.

So..... Who all received their tracking # for the Pack v3? ;) I was bummed-out when I needed some extra Christmas $$, and sold my v2. I had no idea the v3 was this close to being released at the time, but I'm glad I sent the v2 down the road now.. :)

The increased power and wattage lock is sweet, but I'm more stoked about the redesign, which gets rid of the split through the top. :) I had juice work it's way through before, and that's not a good thing. I wonder how long it will take Vapor Skinz to come up with wraps for the v3? (Perhaps the v2 wrap will still work??) I had black carbon fiber before, but now have my eye on either the Black Mamba or Mahagony. (Both textured) Hana Modz – Vapor Skinz

Umm, the 20's aren't showing up in the classies, yet.
I'm thinking 'bout it though

Someone posted one a few hours ago and it sold rather quick for retail price

I won't be selling my DNA20 simply because i have the matte black finish and i think its awesome.
