I bought a kbox mini 6 days ago and I started having problems today. I am using the 0.5 ohm occ and today it started jumping ohms like crazy. It then went to 9.9 so I tried switching to the 1.5 ohm occ assuming it was a problem with this but it didn't fix the issue. I took it apart and put the 0.5 back in and it started working again but not at 0.5 ohms it usually sits at 1.0. If I hold the dial the changes airflow the ohms go way up again. I am going crazy trying to figure this out. It also seems to go high if I screw the tank in tight to the box. I hope someone can help as this is really helping me quit cigarettes. I went from 1.5 packs a day to 2 cigarettes max.

The first issue I look at when the ohm's are jumping around like that are the contacts on the mod. Use a qtip and rubbing alcohol to clean out the 510 pin area of the mod. Then look at the bottom 510 connections on the tank and do the same. Juice leakage is usually the culprit.
I will give this a shot it had me stumped because any messing with the tank affects the ohms.

It's a spring loaded pin, so it could be defective, or the pin is jammed or something is preventing a connection for happening.
Sorry, but the KBox Mini (the mod bundled into the Subox kit) is a fixed pin mod. That is one of the biggest complaints about it.

FWIW, my white one works fine with the bundled white Subtank Mini, but as soon as it screw my Nautilus on it, it flashes 9.9 ohms.

This is my first forum post ever anywhere because I never felt I had a worthy response.... until now! I think I may have the solution to this problem. Now please keep in mind that i am a newbe and know very little about the subject except that I like to vape... alot. I purchased a black kbox mini the first day they were available and I loved it soo much that I had to buy white one last week. Well it worked fine till I had refill it and then I kept getting the 9.9 flashing from that point on. So I set it aside until I last night I was comparing the two side by side. Switched tanks and found out it was definitely a mod error. I looked down into the connector point and saw a white ring in both but the white ring inside the white mod was on top of the connector so I carefully pushed it down under the grooves and crossed my fingers as I pushed the button and it fired right up like champ. I hope this helps you and others with this problem.
