New here and new to vaping

Hello everyone, I'm Dave. Just started vaping a little over a week ago, dropping the nasties after an on-again/off-again run of over 36 years. My wife joined me in quitting, and so far we've had a pretty good time learning the vaping lifestyle. We bought two 901t advanced starter kits from Unique Cigs, and I must say the amount of vapor it cranks out is impressive. Not so impressive are Unique's liquids; I haven't found one yet that doesn't have that burnt, nasty smell & flavor. We ordered some samples from Halo and hopefully they'll be here today because I'm getting by on store bought NJoy Kings at 8 bucks a pop & it's getting pricey! I actually like the taste of the NJoys (regular & menthol) and if I could find a juice that was similar I'd be a happy man.

Looking forward to interacting with you all, learning my way around this site, and learning as much as I can about vaping!

Hey Dave! Vaping is quite a journey, just make sure to remind yourself that no matter how much more money you are spending to start off, you END UP saving tons! I'm in the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS saved so far, even after I minus the amount I've spent on vaping (which, is a stupidly large amount considering I have to have EVERYTHING.)

Welcome to the forum! Many of us start off with the pricey stuff at first. Those prefilled carto's add up. Save your empty carto's, and get some ejuice of your liking, and learn how to refill them by using one of the boots (others call them condoms). Fill it 2/3 full, then slowly insert the carto down on the juice. Keep a parer towel handy.

Your next step should be something like a eGo Twist, or Vision Spinner and a cartomizer tank.

I smoked Kool non-filters for years back when I had the lungs and absotively loved them. I'm on the lookout for a good menthol juice and have some coming in soon from Halo. I'll give the Ice Menthol a shot as well. Thanks!

The 901t can be used with a tank as well as with the prefilled cartos. I like using the tank, but the only liquids I have right now are the ones I got with my initial order and none taste good, so I'm limping along with the NJoys till my new juices come in, lol. Definitely get a lot more vapor with the tank than with the pre-filled carto, so hopedfully I'll find a juice I like soon...

I figure it's like anything else- expensive when you first start, trying to figure out what you like, buying hardware, etc. But I know it'll be mucho cheaper than analogs once I settle into a few juices I like...
