First of all, I want to thank everyone for sharing their experience. The knowledge shared by everyone is nothing short of amazing.

I had been an njoy user for a month or so and thought this was ok until I watched Leaford's review of the Loong Totem V9. So I ordered the eaze magnum from epuffer. It finally came today!!

The differences are out of this world. The amount of vapor is amazing. Throat hit is decent and the taste is ..well.. different. There were 2 carts that came with the kit, a 6mg and 8mg. The 6mg lasted a total of about 10 pulls and then completely nothing. Now I have the 8mg on and so far so good. It took a few pulls to "get it going" and now it's alright. It doesn't seem to be producing near the amount of vapor the 6mg did though.

I'm hoping that 6mg cart was just a dud. Aside from barely lasting 10 pulls, it also tasted very plasticy...very very plasticy.

I experienced a large fluctuation between carts with the njoy, and wouldn't be suprised if the carts on the ease magnum are the same way. I was really hoping the carts would be better than the njoy carts.

These two carts were included in the simple kit and also got two 5-packs. Hopefully those will turn out much better.

From one new guy to another, welcome!

I got the Eaze Magnum after watching Leaford's video as well. I have been using it for almost 3 weeks now. I love all that vapor, and switching out carts is quick and easy. I didn't notice much throat hit with the factory carts though, and you are right about some of them having a plastic taste. The 2 carts that came with the starter kit were actually the best of the bunch for me. Of the 10 bonus Marlboro carts I got, 8 only lasted 30-40 puffs and the other 2 were dry right out of the box. The smoke51 carts are much better, but nothing beats refilling them with some good liquid.

Thanks for the confirmation. The 2nd cart is definitely better.

I've noticed another difference. The short battery produces about half the vapor than the larger battery, even with a primer puff.

One very interesting observation on the longer battery. If I set it down in such a way that the cart "taps" on the table first, the atomizer will burn for about a second. This leaves the cart with that nasty plasticy burnt insulation taste. This is most likely a defect. Have you seen this? Probably best to consult epuffer on this.

Cheers!

I've opened a ticket with epuffer. I'll post here when I get feedback.

Contents of the support ticket.
=========================================================
I just got my EAZE Magnum in the mail today and have noticed a few issues.

First, the 2 sample carts have a *nasty* burnt plastic taste to them. I have not tried any carts from either of the two 5 packs yet. The 6mg cart is dead after about 10 puffs or less. The 8mg still produces, at the cost of a fairly horrible burnt plastic taste.

Secondly, the smaller battery produces about half the vapor as the larger battery, even when doing a primer puff. Is this expected?

Third, on the larger battery, if I lightly tap the cart end on the table (to mimic setting it down on the table at an angle) the atomizer will burn for about a second. This doesn't happen with the small battery. This doesn't seem right.

Lastly, the prices on the web, are they in USD or CAD?
=========================================================

The reason why I asked if it is in USD or CAD is because the dollar amounts on their website do not specify whether it is Canadian or US dollars. They are in Toronto and I was charged USD. Would be nice if this was up front.

Mine does the same thing if I put it down and it hits the table, I don't notice a taste afterward though.
In the beginning my batteries were the same way as yours, now they are opposite! The short one puts out tons of vapor right off the charger and does so until it dies, the big one puts out decent vapor from the start and slowly gets weaker. I've also noticed that I have to plug/unplug the wall charger a few times to get the longer battery to charge up. Not a big deal though.

Leaford mentioned the currency thing in another thread. It sounds like he heard that they were treating USD and CAD as equal, thus overcharging people in the US. Pretty lousy.

I'll be waiting to hear their response to your ticket.

Fishhawk, I would suggest getting some liquid to top off your carts. Those factory carts have a tendency to be on the dry side. The burnt plastic taste might be a dry atomizer. For now, try taking the filler out of a cart and squeezing just a drop or two onto your atomizer directly. Also, on occasion, the cart filler does not get close enough to the atomizer bridge -that metallic looking stuff you can see inside the atomizer - for the atomizer to wick fluid from it, using tqeezers to pull the filler closer to the end of the cart helps this. You do not want a dry atomizer; smoking a dry atomizer will kill the atomizer quicker than anything else.

Here's epuffer's reply

All prices on our website are in US currency.

It is normal for shorter battery to produce less vapor but not the half of what longer battery is producing.

You can send back the battery back to us for replacement and we will include a few extra cartridges to make up for those that you are having problems with.

After using the eaze magnum for a several days, I really am missing the njoy npro. It may produce less vapor, but it has a better taste, more throat, and overall more enjoyable. The constant rubber/plastic taste on the epuffer carts almost make me gag and the extremely short lifespan (50 puffs) seems like I'm always smoking burnt paper.

I have some smoke51 carts on the way now, hopefully they will be better. If not, it's back to the njoy npro for me.

I love the eaze magnum when it's working well but I dread the inevitable taste of the burning paper. Sometimes it happens right away and sometimes you get about half a cart out of it but either way, you know its coming and it's just plain awful.

Let me know if the smoke51 carts are any better. I've avoided dealing with them due to the number of issues reported on these forums but would be interested in a report on just the carts.

Fish -

Don't put any faith in cartridges. Some of the ones I've gotten were so dry I only got a few puffs from them. They need to be WET. When they start drying out, the atomizer gets too hot, giving off the nasty taste (not to mention doing damage to the atomizer).

If you don't already have some, get some juice. It's makes all the difference.

Happy vaping

Thanks for the advice TC. I've been considering dripping for both the eaze magnum and the njoy. I love the idea of using disposable without the added steps of dripping. The technology just isn't there yet to have a really well produced long lasting cart. Until that happens, dripping looks to be the best choice for extending the life of carts as well as saving a little money.

Yesterday I went through 3 epuffer carts! One lasted about 5 puffs, the other lasted 0 puffs and the last one is dying at around 30 or so puffs. Needless to say I'm a little down on epuffer carts. Their batteries have been completely problem free and very long lasting at approx 1.5 days. One thing that is constant with njoy npro, the battery lasts 1 full day and the cart lasts just over 1 full day. There has been very little variation with this. I gotta hand it to them for consistency and a considerably better taste and throat hit.

Come to think of it, the epuffer cart produces massive vapor with almost -zero- throat hit. I have to take 3 primer puffs to get the equivilant throat hit with the npro where I usually don't need to primer puff. The smoke51 carts are supposedly much better in this area so am very much looking forward to trying them out.

I'll post here when the smoke51 carts come in.
