Hey guys, name is Nathan, im new to the whole vaping world, recently bought a cheap-o starter kit from madvapes to get an idea if I will like vaping over smoking analogs. Two days later and I have not touched an analog! I bought two types of e-liquid from a local smoke shop, Vapage branded. I am now looking to get into a better mod and tank/tanks. This cheap-o works but im not getting the best flavor from it, its using a single coil clearomizer. Any advice on the best "starter" setup for me in the $100-120 price range? Dont want a drip tip, would like a tank. I was a fairly heavy smoker and am using 18mg juice and puffing most of the day and enjoying the heck out of it but I know I can get better flavor and vapor production by stepping up to a better system. Thank you!

There are so many different types of equipment out there you could spend thousands and only scrape the surface. The best way I can explain it is to find something that works for you and keep with that for a while. Do your research and make a decision upon what YOU are looking for. What someone else may like and advise you on may not work for you. Just relish in the thought right now that you are not smoking and what you have IS WORKING. There will be plenty of time to run! Walk first! Just my:2c:

Welcome Crestwood,

Congrats on making the switch. Be prepared to spend some time researching and experimenting is what I will say first. I am considered a newbie as well with just starting at the beginning of the year. Since then I have spent well over 2k on gear, liquid, and supplies. I am not suggesting that this will happen to you nor am I suggesting that it will be that expensive. I am just sharing my experience and what as happened to me. The best thing is that I have not had an analog since the day I picked up an e-cig. Making it my choice as a hobby and to get the best experience possible with vaping. I most definitely have not been disappointed. In fact, I wish I had started sooner. I vape now and wonder with amazement how I could ever choose an analog over vaping.

Congrats again on getting here. I highly suggest you just stay right here at ECF and read through the posts and find someone with years of experience that is willing to help you with answering your questions and such. Just gotta know when to back off, lol. Seriously, this is a great bunch of people here. One shout out I will give is to Nicoticket for liquid. Clark is a stand up guy and makes some of the best juice out there.

Best of luck to you.

Ok guys I am going to go with an MVP2 and a Aspire Nautilus tank, the only question I have off the top of my head has to do with different juices. I know alot of people say the mass produced stuff is not the best and to get made to order juices. What are some of the best sources for made to order juices? When you go from one flavor to another should you switch to a new head to avoid two different flavors being in the wick, or is it OK to use the same head for multiple flavors until the head needs replacing?

MVP all the way....battery lasts for ages. Very easy to use. As for toppers ( I have a variety) but unbelievably (to me) my go to is SmokTech GBC....so easy to use, flavor and vapor is amazing. And they are super cheap. The smaller version is an EBC and while they hold less I find the flavor even more pronounced. YMMV

This is similar to the advice I was given when I first came here. I went with the KangerTech EVOD and a good menthol juice. It has served me extremely well, and I don't think I will need to upgrade to anything else in the near future. I get the same taste/enjoyment I did when I was smoking those filthy menthol cigarettes, but none of the harm. Good luck with your choices. As already stated, do your research and go with what works for you.

Happy to say I just ordered the MVP V2 from mad vapes, comes with two iclear 16's. I also ordered 2 spare coils for the iclear 16's along with an iclear 30 and two extra coils for that. Paid a little extra to get it here quicker! Cant wait! Anyone know a good source for Redbull flavored ejuice!?

Next paycheck I plan on ordering the Aspire Nautilus, didnt want to break the bank just yet, I figured with what im getting with the V2 I wil be set for a few weeks before I start diving into trying different tanks and such. Thanks for the help guys! Anyone know why I cant post in the General Section?

Top coils you need to tilt, bottom coils may leak. Different juices can eat plastic tanks. Stainless tanks you can't tell how much juice is left. Vg-pg mix makes a difference. Replacement heads and how often they need to be replaced. Cost factor on all the above. So I'll just add which ever type you decide get one that is glass so at least you don't need to be worried about vaping plastic and will always know how much juice is left. It is hard to suggest the best go to topper. It is kinda fun trying to figure out what will be the right vape. Can be pricey too. :2c:
