LOL
Just read a reply from keenan2620

I am a vapor virgin myself, I DONT EVEN HAVE IT YET ! It just shipped today. I went through the SAME ritual, researched and researched until my HEAD hurt. I finally went with Blu Cig, because, 1 ) - it was the FIRST one I saw on the internet that caught my eye, and B ) - It had ALL of the accessories at a relatively inexpensive price.
SINCE ordering, I've heard horror stories and people saying DONT use the Blu. SO I'm JUST AS CONFUSED as when I started researching. Should be here in a few days, so I'll keep you updated.

Thats how i feel right now, been reading and reading for the last 5 hrs.

Okay been smoking the stupid cigarette for too long now time to quit.So What do I get ?

Confused here.
Hello and welcome to ECF! You've made a good decision to take the steps to being rid of tobacco dependence. The important thing to remember is every time you vape it's one less cigarette. vaping is a strange and mysterious adventure, there's a fair bit to learn but once you get the basics it's a lot easier; the folks here are unbelievably knowledgeable. I'd wager that someone here has exactly the answers to any questions you can come up with. I'm fairly new to this also, but I can probably help with some answers.

I was looking for a cigarette the same size of a regular cigarette.
I went this route and got a Bloog as a starter. They have less options for after-market additions. Sure, there's adapters you can get, but personally I wish I bought my ego-c first.

Do I buy the started kit ?
I recommend this. You'll get (usually) 2 batteries, some filled or blank cartomizers/atomizers, cartridges, and a charger. Usually with some spare replacement parts (nothing that carries a current or has liquid in it is permanent, they will eventually need replacing)

Which ecig brand correspond to let's say...Marlboro brand in quality ?
I think this is more a juice/flavour related question, can't help as I don't use tobacco flavours (or smoked marls in a few years for flavour tests). From my experience and reading here, tobacco flavours fall short of simulating a proper burnt tobacco taste. I'd suggest getting a few sample packs, 5-10 (or more) flavours at 3-5ml, get some tobaccos but throw in some of the non-tobacco flavours in there. For example, I got a french vanilla coffee for ....s n giggles, it's fantastic. My latest order has only one tobacco blend (mix of light/dark tobaccos called Sithgar), but I'm not holding my breath for something amazing. As you smoke less/no analogues over the first month or two your tastebuds will get more sensitive, so your preferences may change. If you get a flavour you don't like right now, keep it handy and retry them in a week, you'd be surprised.

What's the average battery life ? 1 day a week ?
This depends on the battery you get. Going back to first question. I got my Bloog with 120mAh batteries and while they work fine, I was constantly having to refill and recharge. Now I'm using a 650mAh battery and it should last most of my work day. I also have a 1000mAh just in case. That one should last a full day (untested though). So in short, smaller batteries usually end up needing more charges.

I also want tons of mist ? Smoke/vapor,sorry I don't know the proper lingo for that.Well tons of smoke.
Again, while the 808 was good on a fresh carto/batteries, it was inconsistent. Swapping fresh batteries and refilling carto resolves my issues, but it starts to get tedious if you're a regular vaper. I'm using Vision V3 clearomizers now and the vapour/taste is just better.

Any help would be appreciate.:toast:

Thanks

You'll get many different responses here for your questions, in the end it's a personal preference. If you can stand to have something a little larger than a cigarette I'd highly recomment skipping the minis and going straight to a kgo/ego setup. Most folks start on a mini for obvious reasons, but (like me) they move on to new units shortly after.

If you want tons of vapor, then you may have to give up on a device thats the same look and size of a cigarette. That being said, for $45.00 at Hoosierecig I would suggest the Kgo kit. You would receive 2 complete ecigs, along with the charger and some cartridges (Toss the cartridges) and get the 1.7 ohm cartomizers(If you still want tons of vapor) Happy vaping.

If you are wanting to test the waters you might want to consider a very simple starter kit with a 510 stick battery a usb charger and a couple of prefilled cartomizers, for $6 ea you can get two or three of these to see if you think E-Cig's are something you can stick with.

510 Blister Pack

If you do think they will work for you, then look around to find a unit with better battery life. Please do yourself a favor and do a lot of research. Lot's of us have gone through multiple sets before finding our ideal unit. I saw the KGO's reccomended and they are nice unit's BUT some of them have switch issues (mine did) after only 5 or 6 week's just out of warranty. Again everyone has different taste. When my KGO died an early death, I purchased an Epower 14650 kit and never looked back

Classic Epower 14650 Electronic Cigarette

This is the unit with the updated switch (important) and with these you just change out the batteries when needed. You can get one of these, a charger and two batteries and and a 510/eGo adapter for $50. And you can use any cartomizer, clearomizer or tank unit on the market.

As far as a Marlboro tasting E-Juice I have to agree with the comment about no juice tasting like burning shrubbery. EC Blend Flavor's ECBlend E-Liquids - Something Better has quite a selection with fast service and great prices. Email them and they will suggest a flavor for you. You can order small trial size bottles for under $3 to find one that you like. Since nicotine delivered via E-Cigs is assimilated at a lower rate than the analog's, you might want to start with a nicotine percentage of 30-36mg nicotine just to satisfy the craving's and then lower it over time unit you reach a 0mg level (if that is what you want to do). I also recommend you start with a 50/50 PG/VG mix. Again, you are in complete control over what goes into the mix you are vaping!

I hope this help's you a bit. There are lot's of choices out there and it can be confusing especially at first!

For Tobacco flavors, try Gandalf from Heather's Heavenly Vapes or 555 from Smokeless Image. For other flavors, try Vaper Dudes. I got mine in but haven't tried it yet, I'm too happy with 555 and Gandalf, and I need WTA juices, so I have to mix 1/2-1/2.

Someone else might know what tastes the most like cigarettes. After about a week of vaping I realized I don't LIKE the taste of my cigarettes, I just like the fact that they taste familiar. But I've had to switch brands in the past, and the new brand would taste like "my" brand after about a week. It's the "familar" taste that matters, not now LONG it has been familiar. I like tobacco vapes because they smell like a pipe shop, NOT because they taste like my analogs/nails/stinkys etc. But even now I don't like to change flavors, I want *my* brand...of juice.

I really dislike Gandalf, or do I have to steep it longer. It's been steeping for four days. Argh!

Sorry. It is a natural extract of tobacco, but lots of people find they prefer non-natural tobacco flavors instead. Gandalf gets a lot of rave reviews, but I have to admit it is a bit unusual. I hated it on the first puff and loved it by the 10th puff.

If you hate it, I doubt steeping will help, I've always had the impression that steeping turns "meh" into "good" but not "ick" into "this is my thing!"

555 is much more common, lots of vendors have it. Rumor has it there is some nut flavoring in 555. RY4 is tobacco + caramel and some things and is probably the most popular tobacco flavor.

I'll PM you about the Gandalf.

I'd suggest a tobacco sample pack from somewhere.
