I'd also suggest making your own juices - it will be much much cheaper than buying them premade. And you can add as much flavoring as you want to make the liquid more intense. You can probably find everything you need in one trip to your local craft store. If not, supplies are widely available on Ebay for a few dollars. As others have mentioned, the Do-It-Yourself Eliquid forum here has all the info you need.

Also, if I could make a suggestion - have you considered sucking on a sugar-free hard candy when you have the urge to snack? Or maybe having a low-calorie beverage? Or chewing sugar-free gum, that's good for the teeth, too... :) You'd get the flavor, it would keep your mouth busy for awhile, and very few calories. Without the ongoing expense and *numerous* frustrations of vaping that others have pointed out, lol. (By the way, vaping causes severe dry mouth for many people, especially in the beginning. So having a bunch of low-calorie beverages on hand might not be a bad idea, either way...)

Well Captain, I can only repeat to you that I am also using vaping without nicotine. I get bored and need to do things with my hand/mouth and if I'm at all stressed I really need to satisfy this need. I really hate going for junk food but "healthy snacks" just don't cut it. This is where smoking starts to get tempting to me and I've been a smoker in the past because of this. Now that I have my PV, I satisfy my compulsion without nicotine and other chemicals of analogs and without throwing myself out of whack on junk food. It works for me. I don't need the chemicals of analogs to suppress my appetite since it's not hunger or cravings of that sort that fuel the compulsion. This is clearly a matter in which YMMV. I hope it works for you.

You are lucky that you won't have to worry about adjusting to this from smoking analogs. You can come into it fresh and without expectations or bias. To you this is just a new experience to reroute your hand to mouth compulsion. I think it's exciting to have some attention put onto personal vaporizers as something completely other than a substitute or replacement for smokers.

Heck, there are a lot of people whose nicotine habits developed because they had this type of compulsion but PVs weren't around so they had to accept the nicotine and other crap that comes with analogs and become addicted to that garbage. I was one of those people.

also another quick Q, i am going to order from Ruyan, Are they good with labeling and sending the right flavor/strength liquids? I would hate to get a nicotine juice and not know it!

Ruyan is a very reputable supplier that many, many people have ordered from. Expect 10-14 days for most deliveries & don't panic if you track your stuff & it shows it sitting at Bejing for days. Wayne & Co. are good at labeling products & packages, so you shouldn't have any problems with the almighty customs either.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The case with this is not that i always have appetite, its that i always have the urge to eat, drink, do "something" with my mouth haha.

I rarely eat for reason of hunger, to be honest its been days since i had any feeling of hunger, because i am like a chain snacker. So If you think there is any pleasure involved in vaping that doesnt have to do with the nicotine factor, let me know. I definitely enjoy some hookah, just for the flavor and action. Thats why i think this could help.

I find that a few good hits of mint chocolate chip keeps me from going to the candy machine, so personally I could see where this might help.

Of course, you will want no nic juice and you can get a lot of great flavors either pre-mixed for you or by making your own using candy flavorings (only certain ones though, a large number of them are fatal to atomizers!) All of the information you will ever need is here on the forum somewhere.

I only own a 510, but in a case where flavor is the most important I might go with the 901. It's a very popular model and is supposed to be better flavor wise.

I'm not sure why massive vapor production would be important to a non-smoker but you can't go wrong with either of these.

You might want to check out the supporting businesses section of this forum. Very often they will post discount codes that will save you a bit of money.

If any of this has already been stated, please forgive me but I did not read the whole thread. Shame on me!

wow...all great input and feedback but the only thing I can think of that will really give you the clouds of vapor you'd expect from the hookah would be one of the upper end ecigs and/or high voltage model.

I have a 901 and an 801 Janty Stick and while I love my 901 for size and taste, the 801 vapor is at least twice as much.

From what I've seen on videos and read here, the 5volt or even large 3.7volt models are the ones that just put out the 'tons' of vapor.

Most of the polished and professional looking ones start at over $100 but there are some new entries for under that.

I'm pretty happy and impressed with my Janty Stick (801) and at $80+shipping, it was worth every cent.

I went back to my Atkin's diet the 1st of May, before I started vaping. While there is nothing I love more than strawberry rhubarb pie (any pie for that matter), grandma's homemade noodles, and freshly baked bread, I find that Atkin's produces an appetite suppressant of sorts. After about the first week, the need for simple carbs (aka junk food like white flour, sugar) goes away. I've not had a grain of sugar or flour since May 1 and like it like that. I've lost 28 lbs. and am looking pretty buff but have made a personal decision to continue this as a way of life. It goes well with vaping and there has been no rebound weight gain from the lack of nicotine. I have also not had any hunger pangs or spells when I contemplated going for the junk food. I'm pretty much a happy camper here. Just a thought.

The Atkins Diet was extremely successful for me, but then they started pulling all the crucial low-carb products off the shelf because the sheeple didn't buy enough of them.

So yeah, now I am back to low-fat, unfortunately.

I know I'm rather late on this and that you've already purchased, but I'd like to chime in anyway.

You said that you have an eating disorder and that your therapist recommended this. I was just wondering if your therapist specializes in eating disorders or is just a sort of "general" psychotherapist? I have an eating disorder, anorexia, and at first I was seeing a "regular" therapist. Since he was unacquainted with the nuances of eating disorders he wasn't very effective. I switched to someone who specializes in eating disorders and have since been able to figure out why I do what I do with food and how to do things differently. I don't know how severe your eating problems are, but I would think that even if they're somewhat minor (something that wouldn't necessarily be classified as a full-blown eating disorder in the medical community) seeing a specialized eating disorder therapist could only help.

There's no harm in using your PV now that you've ordered it, but I'd really urge you to consider an eating disorder specialist if you can afford it. It really helps to get to the root of what is causing it and not just substitute one behavior for another.

Just my 2 cents :)

Careful with those gimmick diets. A friend of mine did one of those things at the same time that his mom was, and as soon as he got too busy to maintain doing the diet, he quickly gained back the 20lbs that he lost from it. He's a physically active guy, but once he started eating the stuff that he wasn't supposed to, he went right back to where he began. :(

Question...
Will i have to sign for the package? there is no nicotine juice in there...

Sorry, where was the package coming from? If it's from China, then yes. If it's from the USA, even if it has liquid in it, you shouldn't have to sign. But I think that any package from China, no matter if it has liquid or not, has to be signed for.
