hey there,

Im new here, I just discovered e-smokes for the first time last week. I went in a store to buy regular smokes and they had a smokeNV model for sale ( trow away) . I gotta say, ive heard of e-smokes but i didn't think they worked so well (lol it really feels like smoking o_O).

Now when i got home i started looking for more of these to buy and 12$ a pop isnt what im in the market to pay lol so i started looking for another brand. I came across V2 and greensmoke witch had great reviews so i picked the one of the 2 witch had the smallest batteries available ( and happened to be cheaper also) V2.

Ive read a little about modding before buying, but im impatient and i want to see how fast i can kick regular smokes with this so i went for a right now kit trough the mail. now ive read that the problem with not making your own cartridge is that you get inconsistent level of quality for certain flavors so thats why im here to learn more about the modded versions for my next upgrade ( if im gonna learn about making liquid might as well learn about the whole gadget) XD.

Btw the kit i ordered comes with 4 battery that are 100mm long 4.2v 2 auto and 2 manual ( i dont know if thats good or not but from what i read it produces a descent amount of vapor so i hope it does!!)!!

regards

Chris

Welcome to ECF! You'll be able to find many, MANY suggestions and much help on modding here. Most (not me) prefer manuals here over the autos, it'll be good to know which a new vaper prefers, let us know when you get them.

Quality and consistency is pretty good among the brands that will be recommended here. E-cigs have gotten alot better over the last few years.

Personally I think the v2 is very overpriced, but some people seem to think it works okay. I recommend buying some cartomizers, their alot more consistant than an atty and cartridge and hold alot more juice so you can refill less often. If you do get cartos make sure you get standard resistance cartos. Low resistance cartos are only for bigger battery PVs and using them on a slim ecig can ruin the battery. Keep extra batteries on you bc they are going to need to be recharged very frequently. Honestly if it were me I would send that kit back bc for alot cheaper you can get a bigger battery PV that is alot better but thats up to you. A bigger battery PV will give you alot better battery life and give you alot more options bc they can use low resistance and standard resistance attys and cartos.
I recommend using the manual batteries too. They are sealed and a manual battery gives you much better control over your vape. Be careful with the auto batteries. A juice leak can kill them if juice gets into the airhole.

Goodluck and welcome to ecf

V2 isn't really 4.2v - that's just marketing bs. It's 3.7v like all other KR808D-1. All 3.7v are briefly 4.2v fresh off the charger with no load on them but they are called 3.7v batteries.

Fortunately you did buy KR808D-1 can can use cartos from V4L (can be hot on lips - use plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece), and the horizontal coil cartos from SmokelessImage/Bloogplanet/Halocigs G6, and I think CogEasy has some KR808D-1 cartos I have never tried. On a manual battery only you can use a standard resistance DSE901 atomizer and drip tip to test juices (see LiteCigUSA.net). And you can use all 2.5 to 3 ohm single coil KR808D-1 cartomizers (anything lower or dual coil is for fat 450mah+ batteries and mods)

Greensmoke on the other hand is the incompatible model KR808D-2 (though LeCig has D2 to D1 adapter would would let it use KR808D-1 stuff)

Not going to trash on V2 ( since it was what kickstarted my vaping journey ) but they are overpriced and still experiencing " growing pains " but the 808's do work well and whatever it takes to keep you off analogs I am for, but with saying that my next purchase after V2 was an Ego and it opened up a whole new world in my vaping and now I use vvmods but I still go back to my egos when I am on the go or just out and about. Good Luck and keep on vaping

lol took me a few read to understand this post XD lots of tech jargon in there but i think i got it lol. so the v2 100mm battery is a KR808D-1 and those sites offer carto's for this battery type right ?? ( so long as they are between 2.5-3 ohm single coil). Well thanks for all those sources ill definitely be looking at them XD
