Ello all! I just started vaping to quit smoking. 48hrs now and no cig or bodies to hide! Being new I really didn't know what mg of nic in the juice I should get and how it would effect taste. So being a heavy smoker (2pk a day) I went with 18mg. Holy Hell it was like inhaling pepper spray! Now I have 8 bottles of 18 mg flavored pepper spray.

Thank gawd for the 3mg freebies from vape Wild! That's what I have been using for the last 48hrs; but I realllllly want to vape my Teramisue, Toffee Coffee, and On Cloud Custard. If I order 0 nic such as Whipe Cream or Bavarian Cream can I mix it with my 18mg flavors to dilute it down? And if anyone knows the % I would use to get it around 3mg that would be amazing!

Order the Zero nic. Combined equally will cut the nic to 9 which may be too low (I was at 12mg when I started on 2 pks a day of lights using a cheap clearomizer and Nautilus Mini). 1 part zero and 2 parts 18 will equal 12 mg.

Your proper mg will be determined by how much you smoked and what tank you use (sub ohm or not?).

To get to 3 mg would be 5 parts zero nic and 1 part 18 mg.

Hi, and welcome! First, a huge congrats to you! Transitioning to vaping is a wondrous thing. I'm delighted you're off to such a great start!

If you have 30mls of 18mg Nic and add 30 mls of 0 Nic, you'll get 60mls of 9 Nic. If you add another 30 mls of 0 (a total of 60 mls of 0 Nic), you will have juice that's about 6 3/4 mg Nic. To get all the way down to 3mg, you need to add 120 mls of 0mg juice to your original 30 mls of 18mg juice.

You didn't say what you're vaping on. If you are using a very low ohm (sub ohm) coil, you may want to go to 3mg. Otherwise, might I suggest you stop diluting at either 9mg or 6-ish, at least for a few days or so? Many people discover that they need a bit more Nic for some period of time to stay off stinkies.

One of the things I found when I quit and started vaping was from being an X smoker the harshness you are experiencing I felt was from being a smoker. Took about 2 weeks before the throat irritation went away for me. I went from 1.8% to 2.4% at first and now since going to a MOD I cut my nicotine in half mixing some .6% with 1.2% and 1.8% making an estimated .9% to 1.5% when I feel the mood strikes me.

Congratulations on quitting and do not give up! Remember drink extra water and the vaping will become more pleasurable! At least that was my experience.

Hi and welcome. Yes, mixing by volume works to cut nic, and +1 on 3mg being too low if you 2 PAD.

I did the same thing when I started. Some of my juice I ended up diluting (I'm at 6 mg now trying to get to 3), some I traded/gave away & some (for some reason) I still have sitting around. Once I got into sub-ohming they were pretty much useless.

That's probably a fine starter. If you can get by with 3mg liquid, I'll be the first to congratulate you. That sounds very low to me, but don't let it discourage you.

If that's what I was using tomorrow, I would go straight to the shops and buy a basket full of 12mg liquid.

If you use a lower power coil, you might find the 18mg is fine.
There are probably about 5 different coils available for the protank3

Thanks again! Yealooks like I might have to order a new one as it just stopped working *eye twitch* it was vaping fine then all of a sudden NO Vape! It's charged, lights come on but maybe the coil went out? Also where you hook it up to charge there seems to be some juice on it...I made sure nothing got down that center cylinder and everything was screwed nice and tight. Why oh why didn't I order extra tanks!
